    Loved it!

Good Lies by Charlotte West Loved it! Good Lies was a fun story about a girl named Addison who found out she was the daughter of a Rock God named Billy Wanks. The story takes off from there. Addison meets Warren Price (WAR) lead singer for Wild Minds while on tour with her fathers band. Addison has two friends Gabe and Lily. I loved all these characters they were fun and likeable. I enjoyed the Authors writing style, it made for a quick read with funny gestures throughout the book. I'm looking forward reading more from this Author. I give Good Lies 5 stars for its quick witted fun read. I would recommend this book to Adults.

    5 "Wild" Stars

5 "Wild" Stars I just couldn't get enough of this book! What a debut. Different and emotional and so fun. Good Lies is the first book in a new series of standalones and I am hooked. Addison is the daughter of a world famous rock star with a ton of baggage. She's also got a few lies she's desperately trying to hide and after 4 years, those lies are finally starting to catch up with her. In a surprisingly emotional story, this laugher infused romance was everything I could have wanted and more. Addison has spent her whole life keeping secrets. The life she's lived has sort of made her a believer in the little white lie because life has not always been kind to her. But after 4 years of running from her past, it has finally caught up with her on her father's farewell concert tour. After she unintentionally started a feud between the up and coming band, Wild Minds and her father's world famous band, Wanks and Janks, she's kept her (non) relationship with Wild Minds' front man Warren a secret since her father caught them during an after concert party when she was still a teenager. But Addison was never one to let people tell her what to do. And a year later she instead of going to college she follows Warren and his band around Europe. But something went terribly wrong while she was there and now she's holding a secret that she's desperate to undo: her marriage. Four years later it's finally time to face the music as it were and she's determined to finally right her wrongs if only Warren would let her. I just loved pretty much everything about this story. It was funny, but with an emotional background that kept my heart racing. Addison was a multi-dimensional heroine that was not perfect and yet that just made her even more interesting. Her life was as unique as her circumstances and the witty writing took this story to a new level. There was just enough angst to keep me flipping the pages, enough family drama to keep me on my toes and enough romance to keep me fully satisfied. Plus the build up of the side characters's stories has me giddy for more.

4.5 Stars - Fantastic debut by Charlotte West!

4.5 Stars - Fantastic debut by Charlotte West! This book had everything - rock star father and leading man, secret romance, second chance romance, and the love-sick best friend. I mean, what's not to love? On top of that, the author did a fantastic job of building the world in which her characters lived as well as giving them depth. I will definitely be coming back for more from her. I think what I liked most about this story was how devoted Warren was to Addison. She was all kinds of messed up from her childhood. Addison constantly felt like she wouldn't be loved or accepted if she messed up or went against her father's wishes, which is the bases for all the drama that ensues. Warren showed her what love was even if she had a hard time believing in it. There was so much to their love story that broke my heart and lifted me up. Charlotte masterfully created Warren and Addison's relationship. It's sometimes hard to get it right, but she made every aspect of their relationship believable from their early days together, their time apart, and their re-connection. In addition, she created loyal, no-nonsense friends and family. These secondary characters were essential to the success of this story. I'm excited to know that there will be more books about them down the road. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Readers Copy of this book.

You need to read this book!

I was provided with an ARC from the author... and I'd like to thank her so much! What a fantastic book, I couldn't put it down and I can't wait to read the other ones in this series! Addison is independently vulnerable and she is fabulous! Warren is a rockstar with a heart of gold! I thoroughly enjoyed all of the characters in this story, their interactions, their quirks, their loyalty to one another. Charlotte West is definitely an author to keep your eye on!
