    Authentic faith-filled romance

Loss, illness, circumstances. Life is messy. Grieving, doubting, hating. Humans are flawed. Authenticity. God’s grace covers it all. Redemption, restoration, promise, and hope. Emotions put my reader heart through the wringer as I revisited this group of friends I’ve grown so fond of since Returning Home. The folks of Freedom Lake do NOT have it all together (not even close) but honestly, that’s a big reason I appreciate them so much. I’ll say it again, “authenticity.” Life knocks them down yet they continue seeking, learning, and growing together. This group of friends is tried and true and the way they do life together is inspiring. Shiloh dives into the Word, offering truth and encouragement straight from the Source, without coming across as preachy or sugar coated. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.

A beautiful story of redemption and grace!

I just recently discovered Toni Shiloh’s books and I am so glad I did. I really enjoyed the first book in this series, Returning Home, and was excited to visit Freedom Lake again and explore some of the previous secondary characters. While this can easily be read as a stand-alone, I would highly recommend reading them in order as the stories do build on one another. I loved revisiting Freedom Lake and actually loved this book even more than the first one. Guy and Michelle were a great couple and I loved seeing their interactions with one another. And I absolutely adored Guy’s twin daughters! They were a fun, sweet addition to the story. However, my favorite thing about Toni Shiloh’s writing is her ability to craft an excellent story centered on faith without coming across as preachy. Her characters are raw and real as they struggle through the hardships of life, whether it’s the brokenness of grief or a painful past. The message of God’s love and grace shines through on every page of this story, showing that God can restore anything, no matter how broken it might be.

Terrific read of God’s healing power of soul !

A thoroughly enjoyeable read that I hope to purchase in PB. It was wonderful to be reacquainted with the characters in the first book of the series. This book dealt with truly deep subjects so well. I love that this authors book have such a deep faith, forgiveness, and love theme. Real life issues are handled so well. It shows the broken hearts that God’s love heals. It shows struggling Christians ( aren’t we all) try hard to help those people in their life with the message of Christ’s forgiveness. I truly enjoyed this story of deep, personal grief tht God alone can heal. I received this book from the auth or. A are my own
