    Grif's Toy

Excellent gay BDSM erotic romance. Grif has always been ashamed by his small sexual parts but finds himself in two relationships that give him what he needs - male humiliation and comfort. Intense erotic sexual denial by his boyfriends at two different times in his life. Tease and denial romance.

    Grif's Toy

This was a great romance with the kink of tease and denial, among other things. Grif, wealthy now, finds himself with a bodyguard who has mutual interest in him and his kinks. Intense and tightly written erotic romance with sweetness (at times). Worth a read.

Formatting too erratic for my comfort.

I wish I'd have loved this as much as I'd hoped I would. I've read this author before. Joseph is a brilliant writer in his chosen genre, and I found no fault in the writing here, which is still brilliant. However, I found the formatting totally annoying and whiplash inducing. I had to continuously go back to prior chapters to see where we left off, to try and pick up the thread in the present time line. I love stories that take me back in time, but this was just too erratic for my reading comfort. No doubt, Joseph is a master at writing heat and his imagination knows no bounds, but this book as a whole, when all is said and done, was just... Incomplete, with insufficient closure at the end. I'm not sure yet, if Wes' story (sequel) will pick up some lost pieces and ultimately provide this closure. (I own it, but have not read it yet). I can't award more than three stars for this book. Following the promo hype for this, I felt the book did not entirely live up to its full potential. (and it's a hefty read. It took me three days to complete). Additionally, this is riddled with typos, inconsistencies and a few careless physical logistical errors. This needs a conscientious proofreader to iron out these almost laughable mistakes. Not (entirely) a Standalone in my opinion. Heat and activity level definitely adults only.
