    Thanks for your feedback!

Melanie Phillips explains a lot of things that I have been wondering about. One silly thing was I could not understand is why so many young people cannot write down their thoughts in a way that makes them easy to understand. I also could not understand why they speak their own language in such a sloppy way, as though they are too lazy to pronounce words correctly. It seems that this is because teachers have been instructed not to insist that language should be used properly as correct use of language is "elitist". What better way to keep children from getting ahead in life than to ensure they will always appear to be uneducated and, therefore, stupid. This is not true but it will be a disadvantage when they look for employment. Young people should insist that the education system sticks to teaching what young people need to learn and, if they are bright, they should go to classes to improve their language skills so they will sound as bright as they are. There are many more answers to questions that have been puzzling me, so thank you Melanie - your book was worth reading. (But you knew that or you would not have written it. Big smile.)
