    Thanks for your feedback!

    Exciting Shifter Romance!

Jag totally pulled at my heart strings. He’s had a rough past and has trouble being comfortable around humans. Realizing that Lynn is his mate AND a human is really throwing Jag. He does acknowledge that she is his mate but doesn’t want to consummate their mating because he doesn’t feel worthy of Lynn. Lynn is feeling equally confused at Jag’s hot-and-cold routine as well. She likes him A LOT but is unsure of Jag’s feelings. She’s a little vulnerable and it’s a side we haven’t seen from the always confident, outgoing Lynn. Liam, a lion shifter in the Pride and Dylan’s (the Prime’s) brother, has been acting as a go-between for the two and has a front row seat to this crazy courtship. It’s interesting and a bit exasperating watching this couple dance around each other’s feelings instead of just getting down to the most primal aspect of a mating. In the middle of Lynn and Jag’s mating fumble, Lynn becomes the victim of a dangerous threat from the previous book. A group of shifters who believe shifter matings should stay “pure.” They believe shifters should not mate with humans and are staging coups in order to get rid of anyone who threatens their beliefs. We are also introduced to two new shifters Mason and Kitty. Mason is the owner of a local bar and is also a hybrid bear shifter and Kitty is something else. She’s hiding in Mason’s bar because she’s running from some deranged shifters who seem to have a claim on her. As always, Serena Pettus entertains in this second book of the Southern Pride series. I always love reading her books because they never disappoint. I can always count on an exciting story with stubborn alpha males, headstrong heroines, a little mystery, and a lot of romance sprinkled with hilarious dialogue. I loved the book and I can’t wait for the next one!
