    Thanks for your feedback!

    Very disappointed

I bought this book because it had got the Ned Kelly prize but now I feel cheated. The story itself is well thought out and has some good details but the book has been poorly edited: missing words, wrong words used and not corrected etc. The worst thing is that the voice of the person telling the story does not ring true - stereotyped 'hard man' but inconsistent. It feels as if the writer has tried far too hard to imagine what a man's 'voice' would be like.

    I was blown away

I knew this was a debut title so my expectations were middling at best. Candice Fox has a wonderful writing career ahead of her. Totally engrossed.

An intriguing start to the series.

I wasn't sure whether this book was for me as I initially struggled to work out whether this was meant to feel believable or more like fantasy writing. Stick with it, such a good story that I couldn't wait to read the next one. And the next. The main characters are fascinating although not so easy to like or relate to, until they grow on you.

    Hades

I feel like this is the perfect example of people being taught bad habits and trying to compensate. Another one that keeps you guessing as to which way the story will go.

    Satisfying to the last word.

One of the best crime thrillers that I have read. Great plot, great characters. Satisfying to the last word.
