    Didn't really get it.

I didn't get it. Not necessarily a bad book, but definitely not for me.

    ExcelIent read

Loved the setting, Croydon London comes alive in this story. The author doesn't spoonfeed you so so you don't always know what's coming until smacks you in the face. It was so engrossing that i couldn't put it down until the very end. Wanted more and look forward to the next one.

    Metaphor overload

This book is a bit too derivative for comfort, and the unending metaphors are too frequent to be anything but annoying after a short while. Nothing is just said, you're expected to know what the author has going on in her head and figure it out. It feels very clumsy, like it's trying to be too clever. I made it to chapter six but I had to stop, my mind was wandering and I just didn't care what happened. A shame because there was a glimmer of promise at the start.
