  • Hammond's review

Great book! Have lasting impression! Got hooked by the first page. Raw, pure, unfiltered yet beautiful coming-of-age story. A story about James and how he's dealing with his mental illness which he calls 'evil thougths', growing up in a destructive family, trying to hold a piece of his history as everyone around him didn't seem to care about it. He dream of winning the state basketball championship and how he is gonna accomplished it.You totally get invested in the story and it lingers in mind even after the end. Writing is beautiful and I got so many quotes that I sometimes recalling them. I'm sure people who love coming-of -age genre or those who care to know what goes in the brain of teenage boys, this is perfect for you. I loved it and it was my first time experience. Enjoyed every minute of it!
