  • An Emotional Powerhouse

Lars and Sheridan’s story is an emotional powerhouse that checks all the boxes and scores big! This book delivers some serious feels and swoon as the story unfolds. I fell head over heels for these two. I found them both beautifully complex and relatable. The story is nicely written and read smoothly. I will warn you that your heart is going to get quite the workout as these two deal with inner turmoil, outside stressors and their evolving feelings. A truly terrific read! I am freely posting an impartial review.

  • Lars and Sheridan

This is another great addition to the St. Louis Mavericks series with plenty of hockey action. These two authors work so well together and have put out another five star book for me. Lars is the shy one on a team that loves him and Sheridan is the plus size model who is outgoing and wants more than one night with Lars. I loved how strong Sheridan is in this book and Lars is beginning to change his mind on possibly being interested in a long term relationship. They both have their own struggles and secrets. This is a book you will want to get your hands on as well as the first book in this series. Both of these books were winners for me.

  • Loved it

5 star Review Hard Limit (St Louis Mavericks #2) by Brenda Rothert & Kat Mizera   Having read and loved the first book in the series, I couldn’t wait to dive into Hard Limit. From the first to the last chapter these authors had me hooked. This is Lars Jansson and Sheridan Lee’s story and was one that drew me in and refused to let me go until the last word was read. Sheridan is a model and life has not been easy for her. Having recently recovered from a career ending broken back, she never thought she would walk again. Sheer determination and grit kept this woman going; her strength and determination to overcome the blows life has give to her was inspiring. Having met Lars before I wondered what these authors had in store for him. He may be gruff, grumpy and hard to communicate with but underneath that exterior lies the heart of a gentle giant, a protective man who will do whatever it takes for those he cares about. There were a number of plot twits woven into Hard Limit so this review is brief. All I will say, is one click this little gem, you won’t be disappointed. Well written with a riveting storyline and characters that you cannot help but fall for. What more could you need?

  • Enjoyed this couple and the story.

Here was a different type of hero. Lars was gruff and almost cold, but things became clear as his past and present collide. I loved Sheridan's desire to rise above her past and make something of her life, though hurdles were placed in her path. Her confidence in herself and her strength made her a wonderful heroine. The secondary characters were an interesting bunch, including the new ones. I really enjoyed this story and recommend it. I received a copy of this story through Elle Wood Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

  • Loved these two

For me this book was a straight reah through. Barely put it down. I loved Lars' character in the first book and this one just elaborated on his gentle giant, protector, with a side of viking warrior. Sheridan has built walls higher than Fort Knox around herself especially since the man who was supposed to be looking out for her best interest was actually just looking out for his own. After recovering from a debilitating accident she's looking forward to starting life afresh. Bidding on Lars at a bachelor auction though was not how she expected it to begin. As is to be expected Lars' persistence makes its way through to her and she soon finds herself falling for him. But the past always finds a way to intrude and betrayal rears its ugly head once again. Thankfully Lars is unwilling to let go of the woman he has realised is the only one for him. Advance review copy provided for voluntary review consideration.
