    This was good

I want to start out saying that I enjoyed this book, however, I must also say that I struggled to comprehend the colloquialisms the author used. I convinced myself to get past that and continue on through the story, and I’m glad I did. I enjoyed the way DS Davies, interacted with rest of the police, suspects and public. Davies is a complex character, with enough contrast between rough and smooth edges, to make her believable and likeable. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Good introduction to new detective series

I hadn't heard of the author before and only tried the book as it was a free (or 99p) book available from Kobo so I was pleasantly surprised to find that I really enjoyed the story. I was engaged by the characters & storyline and will go on to read the others in the series. I suspected from a couple of "errors" in the spelling and dialogue that, whilst the story was based in the UK, the book was not written or published by someone who lived in UK. It did not spoil the read but maybe proof reading by someone in the UK would not go amiss before publishing

    Harm None

Excellent read. Suspense galore. Every page exciting scenes, which will keep the reader enthralled to the end. Colorful characters adding to the most unpredictable and exciting story.

    Interesting background info

Set in Cornwall, this has a background of ancient beliefs to a modern day crime. Not boring though, just enough to add a layer of something different. Enjoyed it very much.
