    Best Read of The Summer

I thought reading this book in play format would possibly ruin the experience, boy was I wrong! I was just as sucked in as the first time I read a Harry Potter book. Absolutely delightful. Tried to read it extremely slow as to savour the experience. That didn't work, now it's completed and I'm once again distressed at the end if the Potter series. Guess I'll have to start them all over sgain. GREAT READ

    It was just perfect....

Great book. It was a perfect end to Harry potter. I just wish it hadn't been in a play format. It totally needs to be a real full length noval.

    Masterpiece

It was an amazing aventure! The book is actually a script, copied directly from the play. The storyline is a well-woven, intricate web of Albus Potter's relationship with his friend Scorpius Malfoy. I found it quite compelling, yet you must have read Harry Potter or have a general knowledge of the stories for the plot to make sense. All in all, a great read. An interesting idea as well, but hey- no spoilers, right?

    Fun, fast read.

For those disappointed by the script format, I'm very sorry you didn't take the time to read the full title of the book. Personally, I quite enjoyed reading a script, as it's not something I've done in years. The pacing was good, and once you get going it reads quite like a mostly dialogue novel. I know some people didn't think the characters were acting like they expected them to, but people change after being married and having kids. Life happens to you, even and especially if you're Harry Potter. Everything seemed as it should be with the character motivations, though I don't think I was expecting the story to take the dark turn that it did. Dark turn, yes; in that direction, no. My only complaint, if it can even be called that, is that the "big reveal" was, for me, very predictable. I still enjoyed the story immensely, but there was no real surprise there. All in all a solid piece of work from some very talented people. I'm looking forward to reading the "Fantastic Beasts" script.
