    Excellent

Excellent read and I just love this Donovan family! Isabelle and Devon are great characters and watching as their relationship evolves was so fun. This is a wonderful story that is very well written with a great pace. Devon has always been the stoic, serious Donovan brother. Always the protector of his Mother and brothers, especially from their abusive father, has always laid heavily on him. Now that the family is rid of his father and has inherited their grandfather's money, Devon takes his roll as the overseer of that fortune very seriously. Nothing can distract him from that task! Well, until Isabelle Cooper comes into his world. Isabelle can't believe it when her parents sell the family owned flower shop to the Donovan's. Luckily they did negotiate that she would have a job. They just failed to tell her that job would be working with Devon, her teenage crush, closely. Too closely!! A fun book that everyone should read. I highly recommend it.

    Sweet romance!!!

Isabelle he had a crush on Devon since she was in high school and he had just returned from Afghanistan. Now she's 26, working for him and still has a crush. Only this time he wants her too but he doesn't do love or commitment. He only does affairs. Can they keep their affair separate from work? Will he ever take a chance on love before it's too late? Fabulous story! The story flowed smoothly and character growth was steady. I really liked how there was no "instant" love. It took Isabelle a couple of months to figure out her feelings ran deeper than she thought they did. One thing I didn't like was at LuAnn's wedding, when there was no seat assigned for Isabelle, I thought that was rude for a family who supposedly thought of her as part of it. And what was up with Barbara Beth dancing with Devon all night at the wedding? Devon and his bright ideas! He really had no clue. This was a sweet and often funny romance with a sad background story for the Donovan family. The Donovan Brothers series is fantastic! Received a copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.

Will her love break through his walls?

Head Over Heels for the Boss is a delightful romance and the third book in the Donovan Brothers Series by Susan Meier. The story can definitely be read as a standalone, but does contain references to the first two books involving the other Donovan brothers. Isabelle Cooper is smart, beautiful, and down to earth but suffers from unrequited love of Devon Donovan. Years ago, Devon humiliated her by refusing her when she asked him to her prom, licking her wounds Isabelle through herself into her education and running her families flower shop. Isabelle finds contentment in her business, friends and the shop and believes she has gotten over her crush with Devon. When Devon comes home to manage the family’s finances, Isabelle realizes that her crush isn’t as buried as she thought. Izzy is blindsided by her parents informing her they sold the family business to the Donovan’s and part of that offer is for her to work with them, especially Devon. Izzy, decides to give the work a try while making a few changes in own life. Being responsible for his family and protecting them for years, Devon has built walls around himself that he allows no one in. He doesn’t believe in love only affairs. When he notices Izzy, or Belle has grown up and he is attracted to her he acts on that interest but sets very specific boundaries on what that relationship is. Izzy believes she can handle Devon and his boundaries and jumps in with both feet. Soon though, she realizes she can’t do it anymore and wants a real relationship. Devon can’t give that to her no matter what she tries. After being hurt for the last time, Izzy moves away without even a goodbye. Devon tells himself that he is alright with her decision but that pain in his chest just won’t go away. When his brothers step in and make him aware of just how happy Izzy made his life, Devon sets out to win her back. Izzy is confronted by Devon but isn’t sure if he is sincere until he does what she never expected him to do. With the whole town watching, Izzy must make a choice that will affect her life forever. Will she give Devon another chance or will she walk away? I loved the small town created by Susan Meier. She captured the small town gossip and pettiness along with the hidden secrets combination perfectly. I really enjoyed Izzy and how she grew out of her safe zone and found who she was. Devon was complex due to the families past and how Izzy heals that for him was wonderful. A very enjoyable story. I received this book from Netgally in exchange for an honest review.

    Love the Donovan Family

I loved the story of Isabelle and Devon. Isabelle has been crushing on Devon since high school and now he is her boss. The biggest problem is Devon, doesn't date and doesn't have relationships. He has sex. Isabelle has agreed to his terms, hoping that she can win his heart over. I so enjoyed the journey of their romance, even though they tried to keep it a secret from family and friends. I so enjoyed the secondary romance of his mother and fireman, Bob. What a surprise to the family. Love the Donovan family!! I highly recommend this clean, sweet romance. I received this book from netgalley for an honest review.

Head Over Heels for the Boss

I adored this book. I fell in love with the Donovan brothers right from the beginning. They had a hard life growing up. Their father was abusive to all three of the boys and their mother. Devon had it the hardest as he was the oldest and tried to shield his younger brothers. Isabelle is an only child of loving parents so her childhood was perfect. She got her MBA so she could work with her parents at their florist shop. Unfortunately for her, her parents sold out to Donovan, Inc. They wanted to retire to Myrtle Beach and this was the only way. A stipulation was put in place that Isabelle would have a place to work. Devon decides to take Izzy out of the shop and have her help him manage the Donovan family fortune. What ensues was a tender love story that has a boat-load of heartbreak for Isabelle. I adored Isabelle. She is a strong woman but with fairy tale glasses on. Why shouldn't she though. She worked with beautiful flowers with her parents and created wonderful dreams for others. She has had a crush on Devon for since she was fourteen. Devon though is only interested in an affair. The author did a fantastic job of weaving a these two souls together in a story that enchanted me. I adored the dual POV format. Getting into the character's mind and seeing their thought process helped me to fully identify and understand them. Devon's side and his history really would have been hard for me to understand without seeing his POV. I have never been exposed to anything like that so having the dual POV was enlightening and a must as far as I am concerned. I was sad to see the end of the book but the author dropped a wonderful bomb for readers in the Epilogue. I highly recommend this story to anyone over 18. Even though this could be read as a stand alone, I would recommend reading the other stories as well. You will fall in love with the entire family and their individual journey to their HEAs. All of the brothers appear in all of the stories and the prior female protagonists do appear in the following stories.
