  • Her Last Breath

This another excellent story from the life of Chief Kate Burkholder. Enjoy how she takes inside the Amish community to allow me as the reader to have some understanding of how their beliefs and faith are theirthe basis of how they live. I am also enjoying how the unfolding of her own sometimes coomplicated life is also a part othe story she is tellng. One of the best so far.

  • A shocking tragedy revealed

In this Kate Burkholder procedural, Kate investigates the deaths of her childhood friend Mattie's husband Paul and two of her three children. Mattie and Paul are Amish. Paul and the children are riding in their horse-drawn buggy when it is hit by a truck; only 8 year old David survives what appears to be a hit and run accident. As Kate and her team investigate, they determine that Paul and the children were murdered. Kate is determined to solve this horrific crime, but what she discovers is far worse than she imagined. A very good read.
