    Her True Match

We meet Dreya, the master thief, in a previous book. She's quite impressive - able to get into just about anywhere using a mix of her incredible intelligence and her shifter abilities. But she may have taken a mis-step and landed herself in jail. Braden, a police detective, has been tracking her and finally catches to her. This one seemed to have a lot of downtime. When the DCO sweeps in and offers to keep Dreya out of jail, she goes into some intensive training and testing. While I thought it was interesting to see their set-up and recruiting/training methods - it never seemed to end. I wanted more in the mission and with Dreya and Braden out in the field. The time they did spend in the field, seemed a little forced and overdone. I did get to see some of my favorite characters from series, and I do feel like the series storyline was moved forward - but just a bit. I've gotten used to some seriously action-packed stories and this one just let down my expectation a little in that regard. I highly recommend reading this series in order. While each book has a stand-alone romance, there is a lot going on in the X-Ops world that really builds from one book to the next. *I voluntarily read a review copy of this book*

    Loved it!

Her True Match 'Her True Match' by Paige Tyler is book Six in the "X-Ops" series. This is the story of Dreya and Braden. I have not yet read the other books so for me this was a standalone book. Dreya is a cat burglar and doesn't really now about sifters. Braden is a detective that has been trying to pin Dreya down to the crimes she has been committing. When he does get the chance to take her in for a crime she was caught red-handed in she gets taken in by the 'Feds'. But Braden doesn't give up so easily and follows them to see where she is being taken. This starts Dreya and Braden on an adventure. But along the way they seem to start having feelings for each other. Can Dreya trust Braden with her secret? Can Braden get past what Dreya did and is?Wow...this was a really exciting book that was hard to put down. *A Book Obsessed Chicks Review Team

    Oh the ending!!!

Detective Braden Hayes never bends the rules, but Dreya Clark might change all that. Dreya is a cat burglar, Braden knows her well, he likes her, but he swore that one day, he would catch her. And so he does. But the DCO, the Department of Cover Operations, had her in their sights as well, and they hire her in exchange for a clean record, they also convince Braden to join the team, and they will have to work together; not an easy task! I loved Dreya and Braden, together and separately, and I also loved how the romance progressed between them, nothing was rushed, and it felt real apart from the fact that I felt Braden accepted that Dreya was a shifter too easily, even if he has never heard of shifters; he simply thought it was cool, and it seemed like the reaction of a teenager, and not completely coherent with him being a cop, but that’s my opinion. I was thrilled that the hybrids were prominently featured in the storyline, as I really enjoy that angle, however I thought that too much time was spent on Dreya’s training with the DCO. It’s fun, and it shows us that she comes to trust Braden, but I would have like more of the story on the hybrids, but then again we get to see a bit of Clayne again – I can’t get enough of him! But Paige Tyler knows how to keep us glued to the page, and the ending to HER TRUE MATCH is as memorable as they come. It’s not a cliffhanger per se, but I can hardly wait for the next book to come out, because it will explosive, to say the least! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
