  • Danger & Desire

I enjoyed this book. It read easily and smoothly, the characters were likable and the story engaging. I thought that this book offered a well-crafted and entertaining blend of emotion, heat, tension, action, danger and drama. An intriguing cast of secondary characters are introduced and has left me eager & excited to learn each of the guy's stories and watch them fall hard for whoever manages to steal their hearts. Ford and Indigo were an amazing couple that tugs on your heartstrings, raises your temp and leaving you basking in the swoon! I am posting an objective review of my own accord.

A great start to a new series. Former Navy Seals….Yum! The last time Indi saw Ford was when she was eighteen. It isn’t something she looks back on with fond memories. Now he is back home in Montana for good starting up his own security company with fellow Navy Seals. The last time he was with Buck, Indi’s brother, Ford promised that he would always take care of Indi. Ford has always felt an attraction to Indi and still does now years later. But he also remembers the promise to Buck. The chemistry between Ford and Indi is explosive. They can’t help be to give into it. Once they do, Ford knows that deep down Indi is his forever. Alpha Mountain: Hero is the first book in this series and already I cannot wait for the other. Clearing Buck’s name is the first of many things to come. Ford and his fellow Seals were determined to get to the bottom of what happened to Buck and why. They will stop at nothing to set the record straight. Finally to allow him to rest in peace and his family to know the truth, instead of what they have been told. These men and a spit fire Gram will have you anxiously waiting for what is to come with the next books in this series. Vanessa Vale and Renee Rose are such amazing authors. This story will grab onto you and never let go. A true 5-star read and the anticipation of what is to come. Cannot wait for more.

  • Loved Ford and Indi

What a great start to a brand new series by one of my favorite writing teams! Indi and Ford sucked me from the start, with all that tension filled banter. This best friend’s little sister pairing heated up faster than I expected, but I am not complaining one bit. Former Seal team member Ford thought staying away from his deceased best friend’s sister was the right thing to do, especially after a disastrous encounter ten years before. While Indi potentially being in danger isn’t ideal, it got Ford’s head out of his butt real fast. And right where Indi has wanted him for years…in her bed. While much of the story is obviously about them as a couple, it also is set against the backdrop of Ford and friends new security firm, as well as the mystery surrounding Indi’s brother Buck’s death. And let’s not forget the other intriguing ex-military men who’ve made this small Montana town their home. Looks like Vale and Rose have another hit series on their hands…and I can’t wait to see what, or should I say who, they write about next.

  • Left me wanting more!

"We men do this not because you are weak but because you're important " Best line ever!!! Ford lost his best friend under suspicious circumstances. After trying to uncover the truth he finds himself with a dishonorable discharge - except he didn't go as quietly as they believed Now he was tasked with fulfilling Buck's final request Watching over his little sister Only she's not so little anymore and she's not about to be "brothered" These two were hades hot 🔥 together The tension - the failed attempts at disinterest Ford was quite literally the definition of steel - battle proven - Both a sword and a shield - whichever was needed of him Solid Yet, still able to bend when necessary and he owned up to his mistakes And he knew when he was beat This has heat All kinds of smexy moments Mystery A bit of angst Suspense And an HEA that left me wanting more!
