    A New Genre being ENJOYED!

This was my fist time delving into Sci-Fi and Menage. MM themes are not something that I would generally be drawn to and neither is Sci-Fi. Since I had already fallen in love with the writing of PAK already, I was really determined to give the Verdantia series a try. I was lucky enough to win a copy of Book 1, Hers to Command, but will definitely be buying the rest of the 4 books in the series :) I did find it took me a couple of times trying to get a good start on the book - this could have been my own timing though and not necessarily the terminology and lingo used in the beginning. Until I sat down and put myself in the right frame of mind to start a book (I think the readers out there know where I am coming from with this statement), I didn't get going. Once I was in that frame of mind I was off to the races and dreaded my 'life' pulling me off the planet of Verdantia. I found the heroine Fleur to be a brave courageous soul ready to do whatever was necessary to save her planet and luckily, her betrothed husband was not hard to look at making her task very easy. Bringing a 3rd partner (a male) into the Tetriarch was only concerning for me in the beginning. PAK's writing really made the whole 'three-way' ménage seem quite natural and loving - as if it was always meant to me and as if they were one. I was impressed by the characters ability to stifle jealousy and just love each other equally and their ability to be together with one partner or all together. Fleur was definitely the glue that kept them all working towards the common goal but since Ari and Doral were destined to be, their electric attraction also helped them to partner together - Fleur's voyeuristic activities and ultimate arousal from the two of them was pretty steamy and might give a girl a fantasy or two :) Ultimately, I loved the book and look forward to the rest of the series. 4 stars because of all the sci-fi words I had to learn and remember - the book itself is getting a 5 from me though.
