    Can't Hide Love!

Where will you find someone you can converse freely with, who respects you, sees your beauty and self-worth? Someone who excites you with a look, their scent or their touch? Lady Grace and Sgt Duncan Mackenzie found one another on the battlefield, in the aftermath of the Waterloo battle. The attraction was instant and the obstacles between them many. He was a farmer turned soldier; she was of the Ton. And the Ton's hateful wagging lips could cut and slice sharper than the sharpest blade! Families could be torn apart. Page turning events, unraveling characters and mystery abound in this enticing story! The second book in the series has me eager to read the first and the next! Looking forward to more works from Ms. Haymore! Received book free thru Netgalley for honest review.

    Well-Written And Meaningful Romance!

Highland Heat by Jennifer Haymore is the second book in this author's Highland Knights series and was a fine example of finding goodness in bad circumstances. Featuring a refreshingly optimistic hero and a gentle and caring heroine the reader cannot but help feel their special connection. Heart racing drama interspersed with tenderness and love this work demonstrates a well-written and meaningful romance! *I received this ARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.* *While part of a series this book can be read as a stand alone.*

    Great Read

This is the first book I've had the pleasure of reading from this author. I was a little sad when I came to post a review, because I didn't realize that Highland Heat was the 2nd in the Highland Knights series. While I'm OCD about reading books in series order, I'm happy to be able to read Rob and Claire's story without waiting because as I was reading this book I kept thinking about the sister's story. Low and behold it's already been done so I'm excited to go and buy it! Overall Highland Heat was a really good read. There were a few emotional parts that were very well written to the point I teared up a bit, along with a few cheesy parts that made me giggle. Some of the things Grace said to Duncan in regards to how she felt just seemed a bit off to me. I'm not really one for 'love at first sight' so the love relationship between the two main characters moved a bit fast in my option. Other than that is was a great read and I will definitely be reading the others in the series!

    Another enjoyable read!

#2 in The "Highland Knights" series, but can be read as a stand alone. Fast paced Historical Romance based on the premise of finding love against all odds. The aftermath of War, the Battle of Waterloo, love between different social classes, friendships, possible treason and a secret war agency. A powerful and compelling story with interesting secondary characters as well as engaging and strong main characters. Once again, Ms. Haymore has written an engrossing, entertaining and satisfying read. She draws readers into her stories and captures their hearts. This series is unique in itself, intriguing and enjoyable. Strongly recommended for fans of Historical Romance, the Scottish Elite Guard with powerful but compelling characters. Well done! *Received for an honest review from the publisher via Net Gallery* Rating: 4.5 Heat rating: Mild Reviewed by: AprilR, courtesy of My Book Addiction and More

    Romance in Unlikely Places

This is an excellent second book in the Highland Knights series. It's very different to get a romance between a commoner and a member of the "ton" when the commoner is male and this totally works. The characters and scenery are as vibrant as the Scottish Highlands themselves. The depictions of the battles and the struggles of the men are real and honest. I can't wait to read the next installment of this series.
