    Historical Romance

Highland Salvation by Lori Ann Bailey A Highland Pride Novel #4 Finlay Cameron and Blair McNab have seen one another around over the years but never really SEEN one another. When Finlay comes to tell the McNab’s that Blair’s fiance died in a battle he didn’t know that he might end up married to her soon thereafter. She is someone he has admired but never really thought could be his own and she has always been the pawn of her father to sell to the highest bidder and Finlay just might be a better husband than her father or brother have offered her before. This book includes: * a great deal of travel * blackmail * mention of abuse * treason * theft * arson * political intrigue * a mystery * romance * and more Did I like the book? For the most part What would I change? Trust sooner in the book Do you need to read the previous books first? No – it stands alone Did I feel Blair and Finlay belonged together? Yes – they complemented one another Would I read more by this author? I think so Thank you to NetGalley a nd Entangled-Amara for the ARC – This is my honest review. 3-4 Stars

    Loved this story!

Scotland, 1643 "How do ye tell a lass the man she is betrothed to is dead?" such was the thought of Finlay Cameron, the bastard son of an English earl and the Cameron laird's aunt. After a fierce battle fought by the Covenanters against the Royalist lairds still loyal to King Charles, Blair's bethrothed Henry had been killed. Now with her brother John, they were going to relay the news. Yet he had seen Henry abusing Blair just the week before and knew he was a bastard. When John suggested he marry Blair now, he could not believe it. Blair had never given him a second look. So the two marry but there are so many secrets and words unspoken. He wonders if Blair may betray and kill him even! As they make their way back to England, there are many problems and he wonders if Blair and her brother John are on the wrong side in the war. But he has his secrets also and with his dyslexia, it makes him unsure of himself. Lori Ann Bailey takes us on an adventure with suspense, intrigue, secrets, betrayals and love. Her adept use of history and happenings of the times makes you feel you are there as the story unfolds. A must read to see if Finlay and Blair can ever find a happy ever after because to road is not smooth and there are people out to stop them on the way!

A must read you will not be disappointed

Amazing! This is the first book I have read from author Lori Ann Bailey and she now has a new fan. This book is exciting and adventurous. I loved the main characters Finlay and Blair. Both had exceptional strengths that made them work well together. It was a romance and love they had to fight fiercely for because she was running from someone who was trying to blackmail her and he had his own issues from his past with his father's family especially his brothers that still lingered to this day. This is a book worth reading and I highly recommend it. I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    Great book

I received an advanced readers copy through NetGalley and volunteer my review. Highland Salvation by Lori Ann Bailey was definitely a fun story to read. It had lots of intrigue, people living secret lives, family loyalty, family treachery, misunderstandings, blackmail, love, devotion, and so much more. Lori Ann Bailey did a beautiful job bringing Finley and Blair together. I will definitely recommend this story and add it to my read again pile.
