    WHAT AN AMAZING STORY!

Lori Ann Bailey’s writing keeps getting better and better. Highland Temptation is the 3rd book in the Highland Pride series but can be read as a standalone and what an amazing book it was. Her characters were wonderful, the storyline suspenseful and the descriptions vivid! I truly loved this book. The infatuated young child who is in love with her brother’s best friend whom they call brother is a genre that is one of my favorites. The creativeness of this story was pure genius! This story has politics, murder attempt, lies, deception, evil, discovering plots, forced religion, kindness, caring, protection, infatuation, courtship, jealousy, fire, abduction, adoption, murder, trust, warriors, fights but can there be love? You will just have to read this exciting story for yourself. Travel back in time to 1643 Edinburgh, Scotland with Kristie Cameron and Alan Mackenzie on a journey like no other. ***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.

    Action, Conflict and Romance

I received an advanced reader’s copy of this book. Alan had broken Kirstie’s heart years ago and they finally see each other again. They’re both on a mission and on opposite sides of a conflict. They’re both in a very dangerous situation. This doesn’t stop Alan from taking risks to protect her or from Kirstie reaching out to him. The story has a lot of action and there’s plenty of conflict. I loved the historical setting of this story and the interleaving of the politics of the time. This book can be read as a standalone even though it’s part of a series.

Being Catholic Kymber overhears that at a meeting to try to find common ground, the Catholic leaders are going to be assassinated.
