    Excellent

I loved this one! Yes there is serious insta-love and over the top obsessiveness but somehow it all works and makes for a very entertaining read. This is book 2 in a duet and I would definitely recommend you read book 1 Everything for Her first. This book gives us the story of Paige and Ryan aka Captain America. It also brings to light the history between Paige, Miles, and their father and brings that portion of the story to a conclusion. The stories are very well told with great writing, pace and character development. I would definitely recommend.

I love a hot alpha male with a strong women

'His Alone' by Alexa Riley is book Two in the "For Her" series. This is the story of Paige and Ryan aka..Captain. I have not yet read the previous book "Everything for Her" so for me this was a standalone book. With that being said, I will say I wish I had read the previous book first. It seems that is when Paige and Ryan met. In addition, there seem to be some history Paige had with her best friend Mallory and her half brother Miles (who are the main characters in the first book). It didn't slow me down enjoying the book but my OCD in me wanted their whole story. Paige has been working for Miles but has also had a secret crush on him. But Paige is building the strength to get revenge on her father. The father that killed her mother in front of her...but she nevertheless gets scared of him when she is confronted with him again. Her father really is a bad man who only wants to do harm. Ryan has been protecting her and keeping an eye on her. Ryan is an Alpha male who knows he wants Paige since the first time he saw her when her father showed him a picture. Her father actually wanted him to do harm to her but Ryan had no plans to do so. Ryan plan after seeing that picture of her was to protect her and make her his. I loved watching Paige grown in strength and in love with Ryan . This is the first book I have read by Ms. Riley and I must say I have fallen in love with her writing. I love a hot alpha male with a strong women and this book was just that! "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."

    Fantastic!

This was EVERYTHING! I waited with bated breath for this one and when it finally came to me I couldn't believe it. Ever since Everything For Her, I had been simply dying for this one to come out because once I found out about Captain, I couldn't wait. And Paige was absolutely perfect and she was so lovable. I lived for the moments where Captain did all those things for her to show his love.

    LOVE CAPTAIN

I had a little problem with His Alone. And not because it was a bad story, a story that don't hook you in. It was just... Okay, you must know, I enjoy Alexa Rileys stories. They fix my need for quick, dirty, over the top, insta and sweet reads. But there is so much I can take sweet, though. That's why Alexa is mostly the only author, I always come back to. So, novel full of sweet... Yeah, you can probably see my struggle. It's more likely wasn't a day for sweet read. And it's kinda makes me feel bad, that I'm putting a good story down. But it's how I feel. And let's talk about characters. I love Captain. He's perfect Alexa Riley hero. He's tough, sweet and obsessive where his girl is concerned. Honestly, I couldn't find any faults with him, even if I tried. "...You are the beginning and end of my life. Don’t make me live a life without you. Because I won’t survive. Without you there is no me. You have been my everything and I swear you’re all I know anymore..." Doesn't these words says it all about hero in this book? Paige though is another thing. She was sometimes to weak for my liking. There were times she was called tough, and I wanted to snort. She's anything but tough. Or maybe, we have different meanings what 'tough' stands for. Paige might know some moves, that could kick a**. But that just it. She can't use them, when it's most important. Or most likely, I just couldn’t imagine her in that aspect. I couldn't imagine Paige in her job. For me, though she had some sass, Paige felt more like this sweet little thing, that needs hero like Captain to kept her safe and complete. A hero that would keep dirt in the world at bay. Another think is her reactions to Captain most of the book. She was full of contradictions, where he was concerned. That just drove me crazy. You claim him or let him go. Just freakn pick one and go with it! Don't give poor guy mixed signals. Not that it matters to Captain. He will take his girl no matter what. At least the hero knows, what he wants. More power to him. There may be more issues I had with Page, but that would be revealing too much. Some things into this story you need to learn on your own. So, you may think why then I would be suggesting to read this book? Well, I may have some issues, but then you need to remember it's not typical story we are talking about. It's Alexa Rileys. So, if you adore sugar sweet, insta story with obsessive alpha hero and some little drama, you found your next fix in His Alone.
