    Absolutely AMAZING!

I have been waiting for this book for a long time. We met this crew in previous series and once they were "cursed" I couldn't wait to see where Michelle took us. Dev is half Belvon and due to his parentage he has been hated by both his mother and his father's people. He thinks he doesn't deserve love because he is a "demon" and no one could love him. However, when he looks at Violette he is instantly attracted to her. He knows nothing can happen because she is after one of his crew. Violette made a blood oath to her father when she was a little girl to allow Jocelyn to find him and not hinder her. Little did she know she would be bringing her father's killer to his door. She honored her original blood oath but has made another to honor her father by seeking vengeance on his killer. His killer is Jocelyn, her half-sister, and Dev's crewmate. Violette doesn't have the entire story but at the beginning she doesn't care. There is a lot of anger and pain inside of her. Will she find out about the past before she makes a big mistake? Will Dev and Violette be allowed together? Will the hurt each other to honor those they love? This is an amazing story and I recommend you read it but I also recommend you read the first book in the series as well as the Lords of Var. All of them are amazing stories.

    Loved It

I was hooked from page 1!!! This book starts where book 1 leaves off so read in order to understand what's going on. I devoured this book and ignored all obligations because I couldn't put it down. It has everything you could want; suspense, action, steamy scenes, laugh out loud moments, and incredible characters. Can't wait for the next book!

    Fun, hot and pure escapism

This is the second book in the Space Lords series and follows on from events in His Frost Maiden . We are back with the crew of the Conqueror who seem to have a teensy problem . You see one of them (Rick) angered a spirit and now they find themselves under a curse! Plus their latest member Josselyn, is determined to get vengeance for the deaths of her family but as this story begins its her half sister Violette who is about to be left seeking justice . Yet it's a twisted tale the author has written about anger, mistrust and a revenge that sets a course straight for the stars! Violette made her father a promise that when the time came and a woman named Josselyn sought him out Violette would do nothing to hinder her. Jack knows his past will catch up with him but it's Violette left dealing with the aftermath. Determined to find Josselyn, Violette takes her own ship out hunting but her crew have slightly unorthodox ideas and Dev ends up imprisoned onboard Violettes ship! Now he may look fiery hot but he is all male and try as she may Violette is not immune to his demonic good looks. Yet as a crew member of the Conqueror shouldn't she somehow use him to get to Josselyn? Well it's not going to be easy because Dev is fiercely loyal but oh so torn as he starts to see the softer side of Violette. I loved Dev and his history is truly sad but with his crew mates to back him he has found a place for himself. Violette was put in an awful position and right from the start it's impossible not to empathise with her. Yes this is a sexy story with dynamic chemistry but what really lifts it is the humour that runs throughout. Snarky guys constantly ribbing each other not to mention hilarious scenes with the most unusual creatures! I don't know how Ms Pillow dreams up her aliens but boy are they unique. They say blood is thicker than water but in this book that's really put to the test. Can Violette fulfil her vendetta and kill Josselyn? If she succeeds what will happen between her and Dev? Buckle up and enjoy the ride as yet again the author takes her readers away from reality and heads straight into a world fuelled by a passionate imagination. This did work as a standalone as there is a little summary of previous events at the start. I love her Dragon Lords stories which this connects to but it also linked to the Var series. Fun, hot and pure escapism . I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review

    Enjoyable

Ms. Pillow does it again in His Fire Maiden. We experience Violette’s dilemma in her need for revenge vs her budding romance with Dev. Thoroughly enjoyed!
