  • A third highland brother falls for a unique Lady

4.5 Stars! When Coll’s parents separated seventeen years ago, they signed an agreement that all three older McTaggert brothers would be married before their little sister or lose the money for the estate from their mother’s family fortune. Two have fallen into the parson’s trap, now the heir has only four weeks to find a bride. Unwilling to let his mother throw the perfect English wife at him, Coll finds the one woman in London his mother would never approve of. Persephone Jones is the toast of the London theater scene. When Coll finds himself backstage at one of her performances, he realizes why every man with a pulse would want her. After a few peers end up bloody at Coll’s hands, Persephone Jones finds Coll as her new protector. The woman has a secret though, one that someone is willing to kill her over. When too many coincidences add up to a plot to kill her, Coll fights to protect Persephone at all costs. While protecting and cherishing the time they spend together, the pair find they are actually pretty perfect for each other. If only Persephone didn’t have a murderer after her. If only Coll’s mother could see it was the woman and not her bloodline that mattered. From instant chemistry to the perfect match, Hit Me with Your Best Scot is an amazing end to a steamy series. The instant click between Coll and Persephone is sweet yet lustful. The duo sizzles on the page whether they are fighting for their lives or caught in a passionate moment. The end will surprise you, but in the best way possible. And the McTaggert brothers lived happily ever after. I received Hit Me With Your Best Scot for free. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

  • Entertaining historical romance

This was an entertaining, well-written historical romance. The heroine, Hero and side characters were very engaging and I didn't want to put the book down. I enjoyed it and look forward to reading more books by this author.

  • Perfect

Highlander Coll needs to find an English wife in four weeks, or he'll lose the inheritance he needs in order to maintain his estate. The trouble is, the only woman who's caught his interest is actress Persephone Jones. He doesn't care that she's not respectable, but his family does. His new sisters-in-law would be ostracized by society if Coll married Persie. But when Persie discovers her life is in danger, Coll refuses to leave her unattended. Can they fight the attraction developing between them? I loved this book. LOVED it. Coll is strong, irreverent, and hilarious. Persie is smart, witty, and charming. The plot is a perfect balance of romance and intrigue. The pace never lagged. Coll and Persie respected and trusted each other enough to communicate openly, instead of holding on to secrets just to create suspense. This is one of those rare books where the author got everything right. It's a fun and emotional story with a little steam and a lot of heart. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review. All opinions are my own.

  • A great ending to this series.

By the time you get to the end of a series, you think you know what to expect from a book, but this story of Coll MacTaggert, Viscount Glendarril, and Persephone Jones brought some interesting changes to the formula author Suzanne Enoch had used with the other MacTaggert brothers in The Wild Wicked Highlanders trilogy.  As actress Persephone begins production of The Scottish Play, Coll becomes her protector in every sense of the word.  Fortunately, neither is particularly interested in pretending that their chemistry doesn't exist.  The only question is what to do with it.  An actress isn't the appropriate wife for a Viscount, but he has to marry within the month or risk losing the financial support his estate needs. As they navigate their feelings, the threat to her life, and his obligation to his family, the author takes us on a wonderful journey to a surprise Happily Ever After.

  • Saving the Best for Last!

Coll is, without a doubt, the Best Scot! I swooned for Aden and absolutely adored Niall, but their elder brother is hands-down the sexiest, swooniest Highlander of them all! After his "nothing but a sword" chase that ended the last book, we knew we were getting an "act now, think later" kind of hero in Coll and believe me, he doesn't disappoint. That he becomes the protector of an actress, Persephone, is just about the one thing his formidable mother cannot bring herself to accept. Persephone is equally convinced their attraction can never become anything lasting, but that doesn't seem to matter to her or to Coll. The intense drama leads this whirlwind romance to an exciting conclusion, with the entire combined MacTaggert and Oswell family on hand to bring the villains to justice and deliver a triumphant HEA for everyone -- and I do mean, Everyone. And I loved every bit of it. The inspired addition of the surprise guest at Aden's wedding put a delightful cherry on the top of this delicious tale. This entire series was absolute perfection, and one I highly recommend for every romance reader. I couldn't have loved it more. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
