  • Another great work of art

This book tied up the loose ends from the previous books in the series perfectly. Made me snort, laugh, cry and reflect. Dalton and Mandy have come so far and im really glad to see a author highlight and address both mental health and the impact on relationships and just how hard work keeping a relationship actually is.

  • Sheer beauty!

We have been building to this book, this moment for quite a while. That kind of buildup could be intimidating but I have to say, Laramie Briscoe did a beautiful job. While some might read Hollow and be sad, emotional over the ground it covers, I felt hope from the start. Having been where Mandy was, in part, cathartic. I felt alone, shocked, cut off from my partner initially. Afterwards, I found myself keeping my absence from work and the reason for it to myself. As time passed, I felt like my silence was based on guilt, as though I had done something wrong. That kind of thinking when you are already at your breaking point can put you right over the edge. The fact that Mandy took that hard first step in getting help, I knew the battle was already half won. Dalton, his longing for his family, his wife was heart wrenching. Hollow, for me, was sheer beauty. Nothing shows more strength than to fight for the people you love and the life you desire. If I could, I would give Hollow a standing ovation. It was a fitting wrap up for the original Heaven Hill, while lighting the fire of anticipation for the new generation to come! Ten stars for Hollow.

  • Heartwrenching and Hopeful

I've come to expect loads of feels from Laramie Briscoe, but Hollow takes it to a whole new level. I also expect a gripping story with characters I feel like I know when I crack open a Laramie Briscoe book, and again, she doesn't disappoint. Mandy and Dalton took me on a journey that was both heartwrenching and hopeful. These characters are both flawed and being there as they faced those flaws felt so real it was sometimes hard to look at, but at the same time, I couldn't look away - I absolutely had to see how their story came out. When I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about it. This book is just that compelling. At this point in the series, I've become invested in the Heaven Hill family, and blood or not, they are very much a family, so I may be biased, but I fell in love with this couple from word one. Speaking of the series, I would recommend reading the books in order so you understand everything that led to this point. The whole series is a brilliant combination of feels, steamy goodness, and characters you just can't get enough of.
