    Fantastic

A fantastic story of new beginnings and finding love when you least expect it. This is a great wholesome small town romance. It's wonderfully written and has some very interesting characters. Recently divorced Sydney Ragsdale moves herself and her 10 year old daughter to Hopewell, NC for a fresh start. Something her daughter is not too happy about. Sydney hopes that the wonderful people of the little town will eventually win Ray Anne over. Spending time at the Book Bea and meeting Kevin "Mac" MacAlea and his son Seth seem to be just the magic needed. This is a relaxing heartwarming read that you will definitely want on your must read list. I highly recommend it.

Hope at Christmas by Nancy Naigle

Hope at Christmas by Nancy Naigle A heartwarming and teary Christmas romance novel where a bookstore is a retreat and salvation. Newly divorced Sydney and her daughter RayAnne move to Hopewell to rebuild their lives. Sydney rediscovers the bookstore where she spent her childhood and discovered the joy of reading. The bookstore owner has a lot of little pieces of advice such as “Like yourself” and “Be open to new opportunities.” Good advice. She seems so at peace and worldly. “You were meant to come in here today. Trust your journey, dear. It will take you where you’re supposed to go.” 10 year old Seth. So selfless. I cried when he talked to Santa. It wasn’t sad. Just so heartwarming. These two extra characters made the depth of the stories so rich. Overall, a joy of a Christmas story.

    Emotion filled sweet romance

Hope at Christmas is the newest release from author Nancy Naigle. Ms. Naigle is my go-to author for sweet and emotional romances and she delivers every single time. I have to say that after all Sydney's ex had put her through, I loved she decided to move her daughter to Hopewell to start over. Hopewell is a small town and honestly made me think a little bit of the small town where I grew up. My favorite part of the story was the fact that Sydney felt at home again in Hopewell once she found The Book Be was still open. I especially loved Bea who owned and ran the bookstore. Honestly, if felt a bit like the bookstore itself was a character in this story. My heart broke for Ray Anne and how her father kept breaking promises to her over and over again. I loved that with Sydney's love and new friends in Hopewell, Ray Anne started to find her footing in their new town. I really loved that Seth; Mac's son seemed to become Ray Anne's new best friend. As she was a bit of a tomboy, it made total sense she would have a best guy friend. I also loved the fact that the kids kept pushing their parents together so they were able to spend more time together. Both Mac and Sydney had really bad experiences with love in the past. Granted Mac's bad experience had been many years ago. I loved how patient he was with Sydney in giving her the time she needed to be ready for more than just friendship. I did love they were friends before they moved into a romantic relationship. Not that everything was completely smooth sailing for them, but I loved that Mac was willing to give Sydney the time and understanding she needed after everything she had been through with her ex. Nancy Naigle writes emotion filled sweet romances. I've always thought her books would be perfect for the Hallmark Channel and have to reiterate that fact with Hope at Christmas. I highly recommend Hope at Christmas to romance readers who love sweet romances. Rating: 4 Stars (B+) Review copy provided by publisher

    Sweet Small Town Christmas Romance

Hope at Christmas by Nancy Naigle If you are looking for a sweet clean holiday romance between two single parents that takes place in a small southern town AND feels like a Hallmark movie then this might be just the book for you. Sydney Ragsdale takes her ten year old daughter RayAnne to live in the home her grandparents willed to her when they died. It is an old farmhouse in a small town and a place for to get back on her feet while her soon-to-be-ex-husband stays in Atlanta with more money to spend than she has and lives with his new amour. Sydney has a job lined up in town but while visiting her old haunt, The Book Bea, she is offered a part-time holiday job that feels oh so right for both her and the proprietor of the bookshop. Kevin “Mac” MacAlee was abandoned by his wife with his young son, Seth, years ago. He is a baseball coach and history teacher at the local high school but also plays a great Santa every year in the Christmas Village the town is well known for. He is a nice guy who cares for family, traditions and shows intrest in Sydney. Of course Sydney and Kevin meet and there is a spark but with the ink not yet on the divorce decree, holidays coming up, antics of children and an ex-husband to deal with and many Christmas events to participate in the spark never really turns into a blaze but instead stays on a low simmer for most of the book. In the end there is a HFN ending that works for everyone – except the ex-husband. I really liked the community, the caroling idea, the tree trimming, the Christmas snowflake fortune cookies and…a lot more. There is some drama but all in all things come out right and bright for a happy holidays story that will warm your heart. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press-Griffin for the ARC – This is my honest review. 3-4 Stars

    Loved it

Hope at Christmas by Nancy Naigle is a sweet story about Kevin MacAlea 'Mac' and Sydney Ragsdale. Sydney is trying to start a new life for her and her daughter after her divorce. Sydney moves to NC to be further away from her ex husband. There she meets Mac who also has a little boy and whose wife up and left them. Sydney is trying to find herself again after all her ex husband has put her through. Mac too is dealing with his past feelings but the two of them slowly come together. This was such a sweet story of hope and love. It is one that you will not want to put down for sure.
