  • Amazing book!

If you like your horror with a touch of humour, you're going to love this. I'm genuinely jealous of people who get to read this for the first time. There were parts that made me giggle and parts that made me think I was going to break my e-reader my grip was that tight. I need a sequel, asap

  • Five Stars

Horrorstor, by Grady Hendrix, is a chilling horror novel. It’s neither too long, or too short. The story is full of humor, creating an atmosphere that is dark, but not too dark to be an enjoyable read. The suspense was intense throughout the book, making it hard to set the book down. The length of the story keeps it moving fast and there wasn’t a spot where it lagged. The characters were all distinctive from each other and the main character, Amy, was easy to relate to. The book was made to look like an IKEA catalog. The layout of the book added to the reading experience nicely. This book is definitely worth a read, or more than one.

  • An entertaining read!

This book was quite the adventure! While marketed as a horror novel I didn't actually find it that scary, BUT I don't get scared very easily so keep that in mind. First of all, I loved the design of the book. The chapter headings are set up like an actual store catalogue and just to make things more fun there were maps and all sorts of goodies added in. It made the book less scary to me but also a ton of fun to read. I found the first little bit to be kind of slow while the characters and settings were being introduced. I would have liked some more of the scary stuff early on because it ended up feeling just a little bit short. I did really enjoy all the references to working in retail and LOVED how the story ended. It's a book I''d easily recommend over and over.

  • Solid horror novel

I bought this on a whim, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Characters I could relate to, solid horror, and a great deployment of tropes by an author that clearly loved the genre. I don't read a lot of horror anymore, but this book reminded me why I love the genre, and added a really great book to it.
