  • Meeting his match

Observing his teammates moving into long-term relationships, Benjamin declares himself the perennial bachelor, just the way he likes it! He is grateful for every day that he can enjoy the simple things in life: a run on the beach, a cold beer, and time with his team family. He doesn't count on Holly Maxwell getting under his skin, nor that her pre-teen daughter would pique his curiosity in a surprising way. Overhearing mother and daughter in a heated debate, Benjamin is amused, but as their paths keep crossing, he discovers feelings he never thought possible. Holly has been a widow for 10 years with no thought of becoming involved with anyone again. Unfortunately, her family did not receive the memo and in desperation, she declares she is seeing someone. Later as their paths cross, Holly begs Ben to play along, and that is where the fun begins. This well-written novel is witty and romantic with delightful characters, although one would like to knock her brothers' heads together from time to time. The dynamic between Benjamin and Holly is endearing, especially watching Benjamin capitulate and finally fall for Holly. Holly is a sassy heroine, having survived widowhood, a teenage daughter, and her brothers' interference. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, which left me with a smile on my face and a sigh of contentment. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

  • Love conquers all even for a “confirmed bachelor”

This was another book in the Hot SEALs series and it was definitely hot. Matthew was a “confirmed bachelor” even though his teammates were married or in a long-term relationship. Then one night while Matthew was in a bar, he sees Holly. He is attracted to her immediately. While he was minding his own business, Holly approaches him and asks if he would pretend to be her fake boyfriend. Tired of the matchmaking from her family, she can’t take it any longer. She tells them she has a boyfriend and that’s when the fun begins. Holly is a widow with a daughter and Matthew thinks she is unlike any other woman he has ever met. Her daughter fascinates him. Now he is starting to have real feelings for Holly and her daughter is part of the package. He is very happy about that. Holly and Matthew’s platonic relationship turns to love and it’s a HEA like no other.

  • Heart wrecking!

Love Cynthia's book about Navy SEALs. Always a bit of drama and intrigue and these big buff guys dropping like flies when they meet the love of their life. Ben was Mr. Playboy himself.

  • Terrific

Ben was an alpha male with the ego to match. Holly was tired of her family trying to marry her off. Neither one thought they needed anyone else to make their life complete. Little did they know that when they decided to team up in a fake relationship they were goners! Very good read!

  • Confirmed Bachelor

Loved this book, very detailed love making scenes. Great plot, especially loved the way the team members have been described as well. Only criticism l have was that the proof readers really need to "up their game!!. Too many missed words or even misspelled words. Takes away from the scene being set. Overall good story.
