    Friends First - Fantastic series

I have loved seeing these characters grow over the past 4 books. The friendship that they have is just beautiful and I am going to miss them. Maya is the last to get her story and I feel that this one is my favourite. What is there to not love about Jack. Having held a torch for Maya for four years - through her disastrous marriage to his best friend Will and the fall out afterwards, can Jack forget his feelings for Maya and keep his loyalty to Will's family? Each book has had a recurring theme and this one was a cracker - Friends quotes... they had me giggling as I remembered the episodes they were from and how they fit into the chapters. I also particularly enjoyed Jack's Marvel Superhero undies!! Copy received via Netgalley.

    Awesome

I loved this book so much!! If you've read the entire series like I have, you knew Maya's story would be filled with drama and Ms. Drewry did not disappoint! While this is the fourth, and I think final, book in the series it can be read standalone but once you meet these great characters you'll find yourself going back and reading the others as well. While reading this I thought Jack needed to man-up and Maya needed to back off the bitchy a bit, in the end I just adored them together. They first met in a crowded bar but while Jack was at the bar getting them a drink, his best friend and foster brother Will stepped in and swept Maya off her feet. Not wanting to damage his relationship with the only family he'd ever had kept him from doing anything about. Now four years and a divorced Maya later, Jack is back in her life and this time he plans to make her his. Forever! An awesome book and series that I recommend to everyone.

    I feel for you

This is book # 4 in the Friends First series. It can be read as a standalone. I recommend reading any series book in order for reader enjoyment and understanding. Jack and Maya met the same night she met her ex-husband. Their relationship, if you can call it that, is a very complicated one. He was a foster child taken in by her ex-husbands family. She was someone he wanted but couldn't have. Now 2 years have gone by and he sees her - and that's it. He has sacrificed for what? He admits to himself he needs her in his life. She calms him. Makes him a better, happier person. He has missed even being her friend. Maya knows he is only in town temporarily. There is so much going on and her ex and his family are to blame for much of it. Can she forgive? She knows she will never forget. This is such an amazing story. This whole series is made up of characters that make you root for them and their friendships. I loved the character development that was easy to see from book to book as well. ***This ARC was given by Netgalley.com and its publisher for review purposes only.

    heartbreaking and heartwarming

Jack and Maya are fantastic together, so sharp and cute and fun, and Drewry writes them so well you can totally understand how Jack has loved Maya for years and yet she has no clue :) There are so many roadblocks standing in the way of anything happening between the two – Jack is Maya’s cheating ex-husband’s best friend and his family IS Jack’s family. A relationship between the two is going to be hard, but it could be worth it if they are willing to take a chance. Maya was put thru the ringer when she found out her husband was sleeping with someone else. He was supposed to be her HEA so it left her unsure of herself and of men. Everyone except Jack that is and now that he’s back in her life, she couldn’t be happier. Until she starts thinking of her old friend as more than just a friend. I think some people might feel like Jack needs to find his backbone, but I actually understand why he lets things get to the point that they do. He’s all alone in the world except for the Carson’s and when they fostered him they pulled him out of a situation that was REALLY bad. His dedication to that family is deep and it just breaks my heart at how he’s torn between Maya and the family. It’s easy for others to say that he should have chosen Maya from the beginning, and maybe he should have, but that’s a lot to ask of him. He’s had to live with that for years – I think he’s paid a lot for his choice. I’ve not read any of the other Friends First novels but I think that Drewry does a great job of giving you’re the basics on how they came together. I’m curious enough that the other books are going in my TBR pile, but it in no way interfered with how much I loved this one. (And I’m really hoping she’s going to give Griffin a story because I want him to find his own person who won’t put up with his crap.) How Forever Feels is both heartbreaking and heartwarming and I highly recommend that you check it out. (Complimentary copy provided in exchange for an honest review)

    A wonderful heartwarming read

This is a sweet heartwarming read with wonderful characters you can relate to. Friends first than loves are the best stories. This was a fun loving very believable story that you will find yourself laughing out loud. They met with a smile each going their own ways but staying friends. One secret love that last a lifetime, one man who would do anything to keep his true love happy. One night holds one secret that if it ever got out would destroy everything he has built with Maya. Jack has been in love with Maya for years, he moved over and let his best friend have her only to have that love destroyed leaving Jack walking away from one friend to keep another. For four years Maya has been his world he has loved her from afar. Now he has the chance to make her his but again family is in the way. How can one keep his family and the women he loves. He is torn and has been for years. He walked away once but he doesn't know if he can again. I fell in love with Jack from the start he is so strong, caring and loving. He is a wonderfully sweet man. If anything he is a little to nice giving in to family and his best friend walking away from the women he has always loved. He holds so many people's hearts in his hands but sooner or later he must make a stand make a choice which could set a family apart.... Maya gave her all to one man four years ago only to find out he wasn't her forever it left her broken and destroyed. Now she is second guessing everything she does. Who to trust, who not to.... She is at a place in her life that she wants a family. There is no man in site she could trust but one man who is off limits. When Jack walks back into her life it is already complicated with the feelings she has for him it just got more complicated. Maya is wonderfully sweet and I give her a high five for doing what she did for her ex. I just do not think I could have. How can a woman have a man who is best friends almost like a brother with her ex. Who will win and who will lose, who will have to walk away from the person they love or the family they adore? The author put a lot of thought into this plot and it's characters. It was a fun loving read which will keep you smiling. There are times when your heart goes out to them and others when you would like to slam some heads together. I liked the chemistry between Maya and Jack it seemed so real and powerful. Griffin was an added touch to the story, which just adds more complication to the story but gives it meaning. I loved Maya group of friends they are supportive but tell it like it is. I even came to like her ex, that really surprised me. I guess everyone grows up at some point. It was an all round good read that will give you the warm and fuzzy feelings. This is the second book I have read by this author who capture her readers pulling them in leaving them wanting more. I am so looking forward to the rest of this series
