Funny start to a new series!!

Chick Flick Club Oh how I love this first book in the new series! Every gal needs their own chick flick club and tribe of friends that have your back and will help bury the bodies! This story is about Gemma (who we met briefly in Man Candy) and Zach. Gemma is such a sweetheart, always seeing the positive, but don't take that as weakness! She is strong and loyal and will fight with the best of them. She loves her friends and she tolerates her "Bigfoot" neighbor Zach, at least in the beginning. Zach is recovering from his ex and is embracing his single life by living like he was in college. He kicks cleanliness and personal grooming to the wayside and embraces his nickname that Gemma bestows on him. He thinks he is over his ex, but is he? Read and see! I love the humor in Ms. Monroe's stories! They are outrageously funny! Add to that the romance and off the charts steaminess and you get one helluva story! Underneath all the hair and sloppiness of Zach beats the heart of a true romantic and with the help of Gemma, he finds it again. The secondary characters are phenomenal and bring such humor and levity to the story! I cannot wait to see what comes of them as each new story comes out! If you haven't read Lila Monroe, what in the heck are you waiting for?!? Go now and get this book, the start of her new series and I can guarantee you will be reading all of her books! I am!

Hairy Bigfoot meets sweet, charitable fashionista!

Gemma has worked hard at her job as a fashion consultant and when a big promotion comes up at her company she’s all in. Only one problem. There’s one job and two contenders. Gemma and her nemesis, Arielle. Both want the position and are willing to do anything to get it. They decide to make a bet. Each will choose a man for the other to make over. Gemma picks a surly delivery guy for Arielle, but is dismayed when her colleague chooses the man she has to improve. Because he’s not simply a stranger like the delivery guy. Oh no. Gemma knows him. He lives in the apartment across the hall from her and he’s the very definition of the neighbor from hell. This is going to take all of Gemma’s self-control and she hasn’t even asked him yet. Zach has lived alone for a while now, he’s had plenty of down time and makes uses of it. Games, loud music, booze and willing women have kept him happy ever since he and his ex split up. He’s not looking to get tied down or play nice with his annoying neighbor. But when she offers to help straighten out him and his messy apartment he finds himself agreeing. He didn’t know it would only take 10 days to become a different man, but Gemma worked a magic wand and he fell, fast and hard. This was a fun, hot and steamy read with plenty of laughs along the way. They secondary characters had a big part of the story too but not in an intrusive way. It was nice meeting them and of course anticipating their upcoming stories as well.

Review: How to Choose a Guy in 10 days

How to Choose a Guy in 10 Days by Lila Monroe is the first book in her brand new series, Chick Flick Club . A Series of romantic comedies surrounding a close group of friends who spend some quality time watching, you guessed it, chick flicks. Told in dual POV, this is the story of Gemma and Bigfoot, also known as Zach, her jerk neighbor. Gemma is a stylist who has been offered a promotion. One caveat, it's a competition between her and her catty co-worker. Her job is to improve the Bigfoot lumberjack of a next door neighbor in the next ten days. Her promotion depends upon it. If only he would stop slamming the door in her face... Zach has been living like a college frat boy for a while now and he's fine with it. Why his neighbor won't leave him alone is another problem. But it turns out he isn't as annoyed by her as he thought. Besides it's about time he found out who he really is when he isn't hiding behind his frat boy behavior and actually starts adulting for once. Funny, sweet, romantic and sexy this is yet another smash hit from one of my favorite authors. The secondary characters are wonderful and I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in the series, You've Got Male. Enjoy!

How to choose a guy in 10 days

Absolutely loved this book and its characters. The two main characters actually have different views about life which are witty, fun and surprising and also funny. They make the reader to just keep on reading to find out what the end of the story will be like.

    A great read!

I really liked this book, the characters were believeable and likeable. The book had me laughing out loud and smiling a lot. I would have given it five stars, but there were several editing errors—very frustrating. I’ll definitely read another novel by this author (this was my first).
