Great overview of building an indie author career

Joanna does a great job covering the various aspects of developing a a solid indie author career. I've been building my own career for a few years and I still got some very useful ideas. It's a great book to read over every 6-12 months as your career develops because you'll get something different out of it each time, depending on where you are on your journey. And she's included references, both online and other books, if you want to dive deeper into some of the areas.

    Perfect

Every aspiring author should read that book. It drives me nuts when someone who isn't living off their writing are giving advice, telling others what they can or can't do. Joanna is living what she writes about, she is is on the field practicing what she preaches. I'm going to read it again.

    Great handbook for authors

Joanna Penn is known for her advice to writers through her blog and podcasts, as well as her previous books. She is passionate about writing and for her it is clearly not a job but a vocation. But it is a business that she makes pay as well. This is a great book for writers starting out and seasoned writers who want to take their writing up to the next level of earnings. Penn lays out the steps from choosing a form of publication to various marketing options in a very clear and succinct manner with lots of very useful links for areas the reader might want to explore in detail. Highly recommended

    Just perfect!

As a debut writer, and somebody endlessly scouring the web for snippets of information in the quest for direction and guidance, I came across this FREE gem on Kobo. Joanna imparts knowledge and advice, but also takes the reader by the hand and shows that it's alright to be reticent. It's a daunting world out there for a newbie, but Joanna intills confidence through her own experiences, both positive and negative, and provides a multitude of useful links to guide the reader through. I feel more focused, and as a result, determined that my dream is a step closer thanks to this book. Many thanks JDM
