    The war isn’t over...

“The most beautiful things in this world are created from the ugliest pieces that are molded together until they become something that will take your breath away.” Sometimes from the ashes something stronger, better and more beautiful can be found. This is a story of resilience of a broken spirit refusing to give up. Having endured partially losing her hearing which has impacted on the live of her life, her music, she has restrained herself so that she can still play. Becoming the piano player in the band as planned before her tragic accident she has proven herself to be gifted and talented and is now accepted as part of the band family. Having taken a beating in the war between rivals she has caught the eye of the president of the MC who sees her broken pieces and wants to make her whole. Drawn to her innocence he can tell she is hiding something from her past and wants to devour her whole. But her blindness to her culpability means she risks losing it all... At times I admit I was so frustrated by her, taking so much abuse from not only her ex but her own mother. It took far too long for the work to turn...but eventually she got there! That aside I was also so steaming mad at the instant turn around when she eventually had to reveal her secret how dare he believe her capable of such things just because he can’t keep it in his pants doesn’t mean everyone has the morals of an alley cat! That said that’s also why I love this author’s work so much as her characters are flawed, never perfect and make you feel. I may have wanted to slap them a couple of times but at least I felt connected and cared which is the sign of an awesome writer. This series is an easy quick read that leaves you smiling. A four star the war isn’t over yet read.
