  • Beautifully illustrated, indeed. More fun to read when it's as an e-book than as a blog, since there are extra bits, and you can zoom in and really see the artwork. Funny, entertaining, and definitely written by someone who has obviously dealt with depression. She makes depression more tolerable, in an "I've so been there, and I know what you're going through" kind of way, that is also completely hilarious at the same time. Well worth the read, and I'm not sad that I don't have it as a paper version, since this was the original format that I read her other work in anyway.

  • Honest and Hilarious

I love Allie's blog, and her first book didn't disappoint. It contains a bunch of her greatest hits, along with new stories (my favourite new one: "Lost in the Woods"), all in her signature MS Paint illustrations and hilarious writing style. I love how honest and relatable her stories are.

  • Hyperbole and a Half

Not sure what to write here on this book. It's very different. It's funny because it's all real and true. ALL of it. It definitely should have been longer though.

  • Can't breathe...

Hyperbole and a Half left me in tears and gasping for breath. I laughed so hard that my family kept checking in on me. There is something magical about the combination of Allie's prose and art work.

  • I absolutely loved this book. Allie Brosh is a genius at knowing how people think, especially on absurd topics. Made me laugh out loud and also empathized with her in the section called Depression. Can't wait to read her next book. Also loved her weird illustrations which only added to the book.
