    Finally an alpha female

Justice Parish was rescued by the Parish family from her horrible life as a child. The Parish family is a covert sisterhood of vigilante assassins. Justice's next mission is to eliminate the men responsible for her sister's death (biological sister). But she needs a cover to get near them. Ex-special forces member, Sandesh Ross, has formed a humanitarian group that aids war-torn countries. He is going to be the cover Justice needs. He needs funding and the Parish Industries will supply it, along with PR specialist Justice. Of course things are never that easy. Chaos ensues and Justice is unable to fully complete her mission. Things are made worse because there is also a traitor in Justice's team. When she returns home, she must find the traitor, as well as complete her mission. Oh, and I forgot to mention the immediate chemistry between Justice and Sandesh. So that makes things a little more.....interesting! Ms Stewart keeps you guessing who the traitor is until the very end. I was sure I knew who it was, but then I would read some more and then decide it was someone else. The action starts on the first page and just goes from there. I didn't want to put the book down! One of my favorite things was the character's personalities (for the lack of a better word). Justice was a strong, take charge woman. She was never whiny or had TSTL moments. She didn't wait for Sandesh to make a move, she wanted him so she let him know. She wasn't so strong that she was hard either. Sandesh was a little taken back by Justice at first, but he never tried to change her. He had an alpha personality but he didn't bull doze over Justice and try to take charge of everything. They really worked well together! I really enjoyed this book. I liked what the Parish family was building and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series! Although, I do have to say there was one thing that was a bit of a negative. There were several events that had happened in the past that they referred to. These events were either not explained or explained poorly. Ms Stewart might be waiting to explain them in a later book, when it's more relevant. But I don't want to wait, I want it now! lol This didn't take away from the story or leave holes that made the story hard to follow. I just wanted to know the details. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

    Loved the action and romance

What can I say about this book to accurately describe it? I loved it. One of my favorite books of this year. Justice is more than just a character but a true heroine. Her name fits her. The characters in this book are more than that. They feel like you are reading about real people. It's full of action and adventure. Love and romance. The League of Warrior Women are a fierce group fighting human trafficking. Justice meets Sandesh and there are explosions that have nothing to do with war. How had a gun-wielding assassin, a smart -ass vigilante with a nose for trouble and a yearning for intrigue, capture his heart so completely? You have to read this amazing book to find out. I was honored to receive this book from Net Galley for a honest review. 5+ stars from me.

    I Am Justice

The Band of Sisters series is off to a great start with the first book - I Am Justice. Justice and Sandesh are strong, compelling characters that easily draw readers in to their story and ensure that readers want to get to know them, they have great chemistry and a relationship that is full of intense chemistry, sizzling attraction, smoldering passion and is a very turbulent one that is full of emotional turbulence that adds depth to the characters and also has readers empathizing with them. Suspense and anticipation builds throughout the story with lots of twists and turns that keeps readers on the edge of their seat while keeping the characters in a series of dangerous events during a mission that includes lots of thrills and excitement including explosions. The author certainly made it easy for me to picture each and every scene of the story and she brought her characters to vivid life and while I enjoyed the story from beginning to end, I am still wondering if this series if for me, though I am not sure why, the only thing I can think of is that some of the story seems to move at a slower pace which is really surprising since there is lots of action happening (this could totally be on me and not the author), so while I recommend giving this book a try, I will have to wait until the second book to make my final judgement.

Great Start To A New Series

The book hooked me from the start. It was an intriguing premise and the characters were interesting. It was a bit hard to keep everything straight at times, but I suppose that’s the danger in the first book of a series that encompasses as much as this one does. The relationship between the two main characters happened a little fast for me, and I wasn’t all that thrilled with the secret organization. It came off a bit sinister. But I was caught up in the story and liked the mix of suspense, danger and romance. The writing was engaging and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
