    Fascinating and frustrating

Not a complete story, the pacing is slow and the present tense is difficult to read. Still, the author uses traditional Nordic myth with a modern lens and has me intrigued enough to read the remaining two volumes eventually. I would have preferred either a single volume or to be told up front this was only part of a story.

Loved this, could hardly put it down. Nice easy read. Can't wait to read the rest of the series :) :)

    Incredible story

Very well written story. Intriguing, funny, interesting twists. I especially like how fantasy is interwoven with the world of 2015. And it's about one of my favorite villains... or is he?

    Great book

For all those who love Norse mythology or simply those who love the Loki from the Marvel cinematic universe for his personality, his pranks and his wits... This book is made for you. Okay, I admit that, at times, you'll find the story rather slow-paced or will be confused about what is going on (especially at the beginning of the book, but that's pretty normal). But it's all explained later on and it's worth keeping reading because that book surprised me, made me roar with laughter, made me fall in love all over again with Loki (I know you love Tom Hiddleston too, girls, don't deny it ^^), almost made me cry (but I have yet to read the novel which will actually make me cry) and so many other things I can't remember them all. Considering the first book of the series is free, you really have nothing to lose, except, maybe, your time but I think you won't regret your choice if you're like me (in my humble opinion, everyone should be like me u_u). I'm reading the third book of the series and the thrill is the same so far. Really, I think this book will please just about any and everyone. Thanks C. Gockel for this awesome series and for the characters you so beautifully depict. Thanks a lot <3

    Very good - read this

Starts well, and gets better. Well written. Well paced. Good character development. Good plotting. I liked Part 1 enough that I immediately bought the next three novels in the series, and a novella. Vaguely reminiscent of Neil Gaiman's "American Gods", though not as bleak. Well, gotta go now, and read some more books from this series - I'm sure they won't disappoint.
