  • I first saw a book on a commercial for James Patterson's new release- "I Even Funnier". I supposed there was a book before this one because, well, think about it, I 'Even' Funnier. Anyway, I found the book "I Funny" and it looked like a pretty decent book, so I bought it and read a little the first day. It took me 3 days to finish the book because the book has you glued at one point. I love the humor that the main character, Jamie Grimm, has, and I love the storyline. A lot of his jokes are corny, but that's the humor in it. ( He also makes jokes that will make you catch yourself chuckling ) I would suggest this book to children from grades 4-7, And trust me , you'll love it.

  • Just Okay

Jamie Grimm is a middle schooler who has learned to deal with the sorrow in his life by telling jokes. Then he hears about a contest for kid comedians. Should he enter? I enjoyed the books and the humor definitely made me laugh. However, the plot introduced several potential conflicts only to drop them without any development at all.

  • This was the first book I downloaded on my new Kobo mini. I think this would be fun reading for a boy in the 8 - 11 year range. I did my best to empathize with this kid in a wheelchair and his positive way of dealing with life using humor as his "weapon." I'm a grandma, and it still made me smile.
