  • Enjoyed!

This was my first book of Lynsay Sands and I didn't realize it was #31 in the series. The good news is, I don't think it mattered. I was not lost at all and had no idea it wasn't a standalone. Anyone can pick this book up and read it. Overall, this was a pretty entertaining read. I enjoyed the main characters, especially Angel. I liked how she couldn't help but get herself in trouble with the council for stepping in to save humans. She had a good sense of right and wrong and was willing to take her chances to do the right thing. She's had a bad past and doesn't trust easy but she seems to draw people to her despite that. G.G. or Joshua, was as equally an entertaining character. He's not one that will make you go all hot and bothered for a hero, but I liked him. His mother was hilarious. This has a good cast of side characters that I can easily assume are mc's in previous books. I have found a few couples that I want to get to know more, so I will be checking out some of the earlier books.

  • I like both the book and the series.

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of IMMORTAL ANGEL (Book 31 of the Argeneau Series) by Lynsay Sands in exchange for an honest review. Ildaria Garcia is an immortal whose traumatic childhood keeps derailing her present. When Ildaria’s vigilante tendencies get recorded video, the North American Counsel notices and acts to discourage those activities. First, they made Ildaria move and lose a semester of college. This time, Ildaria lost another semester of college and is going to be forced into day classes. Ildaria is grateful she wasn’t executed for her actions, but the loss of funds caused by Ildaria having to repeat the same semester a third time plus the extra costs associated with the increased blood intake needed for day classes has put Ildaria in a fiscal pickle. When Joshua James Simpson Guiscard, a.k.a. G.G., offers Ildaria bookkeeping and pet sitting jobs along with free rent, she jumps at the opportunity. Ildaria and G.G. soon learn they are possible life mates, but G.G. is determined to remain mortal due to his own childhood trauma. Meanwhile, Ildaria is being stalked by a wicked specter from her past. I liked this book and enjoy the series. Ildaria is one of the pirates we met in an earlier book, and G.G. is a recurring character. I recommend this book to fans of the series and fans of vampire romances.

  • Immortal Angel

I originally gave this book 5 stars, but after thinking about it I realized that it really had a major flaw. The character called Juan was a rapist who stalked the main character, and yet the plot included forgiving him because he had a good reason for being so horrible. This is really sick and I think Lynsay Sands, who is normally one of my favourite writers, has definitely missed the mark on this book. It's too bad. Lets hope her next book is better.

  • Hilarious

Can you believe this is the 31rst book in this series. It’s amazing that after so many books you still have fresh idea’s. I’ve been waiting for our favorite green Mohawk giant G.G. To get his own book for a while. And it’s finally here. Ildaria just can’t see to stay out of trouble until she meets G.G. Marquerite is up to her old matchmaking tricks. Lynsey Sands is always good for a great laugh out loud great story.
