    Great Addition to this Series

5 Stars Review by Alysia Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog All of the Circle of Justice books can be read as stand-alone books, but if you have read the others, you will recognize Bryce from the sneak peeks you get in Aim. I absolutely recommend reading the other books as well as this one! You won't regret it if you like a little suspense with your romance like I do. Bryce Chandler is under cover with the Circle of Justice on a case that no one else thought they were able to infiltrate: the Corsino Mafia family. He began using the alias Bryce Collman. He used the Collman last name because of the reputation the Collman family had with the mafia in the past. Bryce knew his mission, and nothing would stop him from achieving his goal of killing Anthony Corsino, the head of the Corsino family. That is, until Layla rocks his world on its axis. As much as he wants to fight his feelings for her, he ends up losing that battle, epically. When someone is trying to kill Layla, Bryce puts his mission on hold to ensure her safety. Layla is the daughter of a mob boss who keeps her in the dark to try and make her still believe he hung the moon for her. Yet as the chips begin to fall, the secrets start to come out. Daddy Dearest is no longer the wonderful man she believed him to be. I enjoyed the fourth installment of LP Dover's series Circle of Justice. Just like the others, In the Crossfires, did not disappoint with the action, suspense and the massive plot twist! The plot twist will have you questioning everything!! Once again LP Dover had me staying up until the wee hours of the morning just so I can find out what happens next. I am impatiently waiting for the next installment in the Circle of Justice series!

That woman has some serious tenacity!

Layla saw something she liked and she knew just how to get it. That woman has some serious tenacity! I have always enjoyed a smart heroine and Layla is that and so much more. Her father and brother have always kept her somewhat 'protected', oh she knew deep down the truth of her family business but chose not to acknowledge it. When push came to shove though she wasn't about to be put on a shelf. Claws extended she set out to get the truth and maybe a little something just for her while she was at it. Bryce was undercover, finally, he was in a position to complete his objective. He had a plan in motion, easy in, easy out. That was until all heck broke loose. In a change of circumstances, Bryce finds himself fighting to protect the life of an innocent while simultaneously fighting his growing need for her. These two were a perfect fit for each other. They clicked as a couple from that first moment. I really liked how Layla was the aggressor, it was fun to see the tables turned. This was easy to follow with a solid story line that touched the edge of suspense without over the top scenes. The chemistry between Bryce and Layla was the perfect mix of push and pull. Kept me entertained and rooting for Layla. I read a comp copy and this was my first venture into this series. Will be reading more of it. The supporting cast is just as intriguing as well as at times a bit infuriating.

    Suspenseful, sexy, and fun

4.5 Hearts In the Crossfire is the fourth book in the Circle of Justice series. Each book can be read as standalone in the series. I started from the beginning and have enjoyed each of them. If you read the previous books then you know Bryce Chandler. And now he is Bryce Collman. A killer. A man part of one of the most feared Mafia families from the past. Bryce was New York to take out his mark, Anthony Corsino. Mafia boss and a man who is high on the FBI list who need to be taken out. He thought he would be an easy hit but that was before he landed. And it was before he laid eyes on his daughter, Layla. A beautiful woman with a stubborn streak that could bring him to his knees if he let her. His plan was to stay away but she had other plans. Layla knew he was dangerous. She saw it in his eyes but she also something something else. A gentle side. A sweet side. A side that he didn’t want her or anyone else to see. He tried to push her away but she wasn’t going to let him. She liked the side of him that looked at her with desire. She also liked his protective side even if she knew she could protect herself. From who? She doesn’t know. She stayed out of her father’s business but now she was forced to open her eyes to who her father really is. Bryce and Layla’s relationship is complicated. He needs to kill her father. She wants to get know him. She surprises him. He intrigues her. And when things get real, it gets fucking real. Overall...it’s the perfect addition to this series. It was suspenseful, sexy, and fun. I love the Chandler men and their better halves. It was nice catching up with them. I am excited to see what is up next. Quotes: “If you tell my dad any of this, I’ll kill you myself.” He chuckled once. “Wow.” Then his eyes met mine again. “You have me scared now, Lemon Drop.” “Forget it. I’m not leaving you alone with the food.” I pointed at the groceries and winked. “I don’t trust you with my red velvet cake.” “Trust me, I know not to come between a woman and her sweets.” Grinning wide, I opened my door. “Good. I’d hate to have to bring my gun out again.”

    Great story

I've loved every book in the Circle of Justice series and was so curious about Bryce after reading Aim. This book packs a ton of suspense. I was on the edge of my seat quite a few times, biting my nails and hoping that everyone makes it through. The twist in this book was *really* over top. It took the story from maybe possible to this only happens in soap operas but I still loved the story. Bryce and Layla were perfect for each other, even though everything seemed to be stacked against them. I am really looking forward to Dom's book!! I can't wait to learn more about him.
