  • Fantastic start to this trilogy

This was a great start to Emma’s story and I want to thank Tawdra Kandle for not making us wait too long for books two and three. Emma comes to Harper Springs to work at St. Agnes Memorial Hospital as a naturopath in the oncology wing. Her first day she butts heads with the head nurse, Mira Hoskins. Then she gets to her supposed to be manufactured home and what a joke. Luckily, she met one of the nurses and calls her. The head doctor, Deacon Girard, isn’t there, but when he arrives back from Venezuela, they butts heads too. I’m not going to leave any spoilers, but I highly recommend reading this emotional book that I read in one sitting. Be prepared for some steamy scenes too. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

  • Great Beginning but a Heartbreaker

If you only read romance because of the immediate happy ending, then this may not be for you. But if you pass on it for that reason, you will be missing out on what I believe is going to be a truly amazing love story. Fair warning, this will most likely break your heart, but when all is said and done it will be worth it. This is a highly emotional and, at times, very difficult tale, but there are some really great highs that make this one you won’t soon forget. There is no guaranteed HEA resolution for Deacon and Emma in this book, but you will form a close bond to them as you read what I know is just the beginning to their story. As their relationship grows, both professionally and personally, you’ll become completely captivated by their lives and the lives of those around them. It’s a story that will have you enthralled from the very start to an ending that will leave you anxious to know what’s coming next. I feel we are in for quite a roller coaster ride with these two; one that will tear at our heartstrings and wring out a lot of feelings before it’s over.

This is a well written love story , great characters and storyline. It’s medical romance in small town, where everybody know everything. Emma and Deacon story is heartbreaking and emotional . While we watching their relationship blossom it’s not the end with happy ending. Not yet ! Have a Kleenex handy , I did. Wonderful beginning in this trilogy. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Emma Carson is a naturopath, a vegan and an eternal optimist. She puts the patients first and will fight for them to get what she feels is the proper treatment. Deacon Girard is likewise passionate about putting his patients first, although his treatments are not even vaguely similar to Emma’s. This will make a difficult beginning for her in dealing with him and the staff. Emma also faces some unbelievable living conditions when she buys something she thought would be a lovely home and it turned out to be a dumpy trailer with no running water or any other thing you might need to survive a trailer sitting in the Florida sun. This book has many emotions for the reader to deal with. Whether you are for Team Emma or Team Deacon, be ready for a wild ride.

  • A great start to a trilogy

First be aware that this is a story that goes over three books so that may not be for you or you may want to wait until all three are released so that you can read straight through. It is the story of Emma Carson and Deacon Girard. he is a doctor who although he cares deeply for his patients mainly relies on science while he has worked hard to establish himself and build a oncology department to be proud of he isn't sure about all the ways some of his team work The main one he has problems with is Emma Carson she is a naturopath and vegan that lives by what she preaches and the two of them clash all the time. There is also a deep attraction between them will they act on it You have to wait for the next book to see
