    Interesting

Book 1 in the series. Quite captivating. There were some parts that are dragging and descriptions that are bit absurd. But all in all its a good read. The stong pull or attraction between zander and ruby is bit exaggerated but i guess there is some really good reason in the following books why they feel strongly about each other despite meeting for the first time and those feelings of unexplained familiarity. I do like the characters of andreas and even the mysterious jarred. They seem to have deeper connection to ruby. Its really bad that that the antagonists in these books are the biological parents of ruby. They seem to be really evil and dark. wonder why they are like that? Have they always been like that? Not the slightest care to their only daughter that they even attempt to kill her? Its really sad. The storyline is interesting and makes one curious enough to want to read the rest of the books in the series just to understand better the characters and what will happen to each one.

    Harry Potter meets grim reaper.

Fun read and the start to a new good versus evil type of series, with evil being a seemingly slippery slope. Harry Potter meets grim reaper. The story moves quickly and it will be interesting to see where the author takes Ruby next.

    Another Hidden Gem

This book is also different from other private school series on the market. There’s drama, romance, and mystery. It’s a page turner and I can’t wait to read more.

    Awesomeness

Pretty great story and the abrupt ending makes you want to continue the entire series, I very much enjoyed this book

    Endearing characters; predictable plot

In short, this story felt all too familiar and Harry Potter-esque. Except the world wasn't quite as interesting and it lacked substantial plot twists. The protagonist was endearing, but ultimately the story fell short for me.
