  • Heated friends to lovers

Four and a half stars Inked Craving by Carrie Ann Ryan is the fourth in her Montgomery Ink: Fort Collins series. Paige Montgomery’s world is turned upside down when she ends up on the wrong end of a broken heart, followed shortly by an extra positive she hadn’t been exactly in the market for… Lee Grier is basically an honorary Montgomery. He’s been friends with them for years, and when he sees Paige looking like she could use an ear and a hand, he doesn’t hesitate to offer both. Carrie Ann Ryan’s Inked Craving is an emotional friends-to-lovers, where Lee and Paige build their friendship with intention, taking longer to recognize that they’re building deeper feelings right alongside. Inked Craving is full of Ms Ryan’s trademark warmth and family and drama.

  • Huge Feels & Major Swoon

The friends to lovers trope is a favorite of mine and this book did not disappoint. The feels are huge, the swoon is strong, and the emotions are potent as Paige and Lee's romance unfolds. My heart ached for Paige, and I thought Lee was a five-star, gold member of the book boyfriend club. These two are just so incredibly sweet together. Along with the romance you get a bit of mystery, but for me it was all about the beautiful love story that yanked on my heartstrings, sent my own emotions spinning and left me a mushy mess. I am electing to post a forthright review.

  • Paige and Lee are absolutely wonderful

Paige and Lee quickly became my favorite couple in a world already filled with wonderful pairings. Paige’s situation broke my heart, but I was so happy that she had someone like Lee to help her through it. While friends for years, they both evidently harbored a crush on the other for years! So while those who’ve read the earlier books might not have seen hints of that…at least I didn’t…their expanding relationship makes perfect sense. Paige really grows up in this book. Not to say she wasn’t already a smart, hardworking, caring young woman, but dealing with not only a breakup with longtime boyfriend Colton and an unexpected pregnancy really brought about a newfound maturity. And while Lee has always been part of the Montgomery family as Beckett’s best friend, we learn so much about his life and family, things he’s kept hidden until he shares them with Paige. I’m not going to give anything else away, but there’s definitely laughter and tears being shed in this story. It’s also wonderful to see some of my favorite Montgomery cousins show up, in addition to Paige’s own family. Archer gets his story told next, and I’m thinking it’s going to be a heartbreaker! I could not put this one down! And I’m wondering…is it too early to read it again? Definitely not!

  • Well hello, Lee!

How do you pick up the pieces left behind when you are positive your boyfriend is going to propose to you only he tells you that he's moving to New York and leaving you behind? Well, when numerous pregnancy test tell you that he left something behind you do what you have to do because now there is a little one depending on you. This is exactly what happens to Paige Montgomery only she's not as alone as she thinks she is. Lee Grier has been best of friends with two of Paige's brothers for many years so when he see's her standing alone in the rain he knows something is wrong and is determined to make things right for her...no matter the consequences. I love the chemistry between Paige and Lee, and knowing that he was going to stand beside her through everything no matter what was great. This book had a lot of angst, maybe a little to much, I would have been okay with focusing on just one thing...Colton leaving Paige pregnant and alone would have been just fine but there was more to this story that I am not going to share because it's not mentioned in the book blurb so it would be a spoiler. But regardless this was a great read that I really enjoyed. If you enjoy Steamy Contemporary Romances, Surprise Pregnancy Romances, Siblings Best Friend Romances, Friends to Lovers Romances, or Large Family Romances I would recommend this book to you. Happy Reading!!!
