  • good story

wow I liked this story. It shows how two people randomly meet and fall in love, then have to overcome their pasts to become the people they are meant to be to get their happy ever after. The story was sweet, hot, sad and funny at the same time. I loved watching Zirah really come into herself as the story progressed. I loved Dennis although I did really want to slap him a few times. The ending was both sweet , made me cry and made me go YES! all at the same time.

  • Very good

This was my first read from this author. I loved the first person point of view, which is a deal breaker for me. I also loved that the writing was presented in a form of a diary. I will definitely read others in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Overcoming Struggles = Strength & Happiness

Zirah, "Z" is a 24 year old who got dealt a bad hand in life. She dropped out of high school to work multiple jobs to help support her family who in turn abused alcohol and drugs and surrounded her by unhealthy abusive relationships. Right from the beginning the book drops a huge surprise that is life altering and motivates Z to move out and go on her own. She ends up over 1k miles from home in Georgia and lands an apartment above a tattoo parlor. The employees of the tattoo parlor take her in and help get her started and provide friendships she had never experienced before including a budding romance with Dennis. The book was comically written and a real page turner, taking us through various emotions including learning to trust, young love, betrayal, and unexpected gifts to name a few. There was a nice balance of angst and joy. I have already checked out this writer to see what else she has written and will definitely check out more of her books in the future. • Inked in the Music!

WOW! This is my first read by this author and I am really impressed. This is such a compelling story that really sucks you in and holds you until the end. Zirah and Dennis are so perfect for each other. This story is emotional and really nicely developed. I love the characters. Watching Zirah grow, develop and overcome the cards she was dealt is amazing. I look forward to reading more by this author because this story hooked me!!
