    A real travel mastermind

I just want to start off saying this Author is fantastic! I read his other ebook, "Voltaire Brown's Don't Travel Europe: The Anti Lonely Planet European Tour Book." But this ebook, “Travel Mastermind” is a great piece if you’re planning a trip abroad. But if you have no desire to travel abroad, you could still get some good information from it. But who wrote this book had really been to more than 70 countries. I e-mailed the mastermind about that, and he confessed he didn’t ever sit down and count out how many places he’s been and that some of the countries he was in a few decades back, such as the USSR, are now more than one country. To be honest though, whether he’s been to 50 or 80, it truly makes no difference to the advice I got out of this book. It truly is invaluable and solid information for anyone who enjoys traveling. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

    Start your travel escapades now.

I was looking for books that would help me understand how Philippine Passport holders like me, can actually successfully get Visa all the time whenever I apply. The title was the one that pulled me to the book, hoping to find some points, and guidance at least. There are some chapters that are named, “Clever Ways To Stop Appearing Like a Clueless Moron” and “Responsible Tourism You Can Mock Others For Not Knowing”, I knew that it won’t be exactly the one I was looking for, but I scanned through it and found that this kind of travel book would still be helpful for me. What I found helpful with this, was the experiences of the persona/author that was presented. With all of the points that the author mentioned, I feel like I was debunking some of the travel myths that I have been hearing around the internet. It is good that the experiences are raw and it was good to actually look through the perspective of someone who had been to different continents; however, it would have been so nice to have a sense of being able to relate, for the kind of passport I hold. Despite that, I still learned some insights about travelling and I thought that I am seeing most of it with how I travel with my boyfriend too. He is Swedish, so from time to time, he would tell me some things that he learned while travelling, and I saw some of it in this book. It is good to know that through this book, he was opening some cultures that are near me. And in some way, regardless that there would still be difference per country, I feel like he was still talking about Philippines too. The way of writing of the author is modern, young and relevant. He didn’t just put things there without reason, everything that was in the book would help its readers understand the lifestyle of travelling and how to ease your way into living it. I think that this is a relevant book of today since everyone is just all about travelling. I would recommend this comprehensive guidebook.

    Wonderful little gem

This is a wonderful little guide that shares with you this traveller's experiences not only giving you handy little tips but also in a way that's also a little amusing in order to keep the reader entertained. A wonderful little gem of a book. I am definitely interested in reading more from this author.

    Inspiring

I guess, after Voltaire Brown’s Don’t Travel Europe, the author tried to create a “real” travel guide this time. And I can only say a big thank you to him! If you are like me and my parents then you love going on organised tours. Yes, I know all the arguments! I don’t have time to create the plan, it’s too much trouble to find a good lodging, and lastly, what about tour guide, will I have to find them myself? After you read this book, you’ll know the joys of travelling without a travel company! True, I’ve had good trips with travel companies but, as the author mentions, these trips come off as a cookie cutter. Travel companies do not go everywhere, but I as a traveller want to travel to other places. And that’s where this book comes in hand. Now, I feel inspired to plan my next trip on my own using the resources mentioned in here. Wondering where I will plan to go? Probably to Colombia or Venezuela. I would have been too scared to have to go solo before. Oh, and don’t tell my parents, they’ll be too afraid.

More exchange rate information then I need!

The guy writing this has a knack with numbers. He goes over in depth just how to get the best exchange rates once you arrive at your destination. I was blown away by the analysis he performs to determine whether you should change money at home or once you get to your destination, but I honestly couldn’t follow most of it. My math scores in school were atrocious :} Fellow knows a lot about travel and some of the stuff just went over my average head.
