The writer demonstrated his familiarity with military practices, giving the reader an insight of what seal team members do and can do, during their missions. Having spent some time in the military... within anotther servce branch, I thoroughly enjoyed experiencing the intrigue and excitement generated by the author's scene descriptions. I recommend the reading of this novel by anyone interested in military fictional story telling!

I enjoyed the tale but was amazed by Patrick Robinson's ignorance of firearms. He twice referred to the use of Sig Sauer revolvers and the magazines that went with them. As far as I know, Sig does not make revolvers. In addition, revolvers do not use magazines. ammunition magazines are used only with either automatic or semiautomatic pistols and rifles. Mr. Robinson also talks about AK 47 rifles and the men carrying those rifles having "ammunition belts" to use with them. The AK 47 is NOT a belt-fed rifle. That kind of weapon uses ammo magazines. Those glaring errors do not greatly detract from the story but when an author displays such a lack of knowledge about something such as commonly used weapons, I cannot help but wonder what other references to military technology he got wrong. It is obvious that the editors of this book as just as clueless as the author.
