    Loved this book!!!!

**Received ARC for a fair and honest review** Into the Fire is the second book in the Compass Boys series, this could be read as a standalone, however it is best read in order IMHO. I'd rate this book at 5 stars!! I loved this book, from beginning to end it kept me interested, no lagging, and no unnecessary extra filler or repetition. This book has just the right amount of storyline, little bit of humor, action, drama and romance. If you are familiar with the other Compass series, you will get to see some of those characters in the book, which I love! This book will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions, you may want a box of kleenex handy also. I really enjoyed the characters. Loved Ivy/Scout/Doc and James/Jamie/Cowboy, they had great chemistry and there was definitely just the right amount of hot and steaminess going on! Loved the sub-characters in the book, and really liked Ivy's dad Roscoe. I had a hard time putting this book down. I'm thinking it will probably be my favorite of all of them, but will have to see when the next stories come out, which I can't wait for!!! Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!

    Love those Compass Boys!!!

This is book 2 in the Compass Boys series and it features James and Ivy. Half rancher and half smokejumper, James thought he had it all figured out. He thought his life was perfectly balanced. That is until he met Ivy. Because of a past tragedy Ivy didn’t date smokejumpers… EVER! I love those strong bullheaded female characters. This is a sweet romance that’ll break your heart a few times, so keep those tissues close. Along with the heartbreak there’s a lot of sizzle and some pretty amazing family time going on. This is a great story line with awesome characters! This is my first Compass book and now I need to go back and read all the previous books in the each of the Compass series.

Another hit in the Compton Series!

Such an amazing story of love and family dynamics. James of course loves his family but wants to go out and make a name for himself and he does that by become a smokejumper. He meets his boss’s daughter Ivy at a very significant day. From there, the sparks fly, lots of witty banter, certain bases were reached (you’ll have to read the story to figure that one out!) but Ivy can’t commit, there’s something holding her back, it his profession. I could not read this story fast enough, I needed to find out what was going to happen next. Great storytelling from the beginning, the characters just jump out at you and grab you by the heartstrings. And let’s not forget to mention the hot sexy scenes. And with such a large family, it was great to see and hear from previous characters of the series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

An amazing addition to the Compass world!

I've read many books, by both of these authors, including all of the other Compass books.  You could probably even say I'm a die hard fan.  I'm quite honored to receive an ARC of this book, with the opportunity to read and review prior to its official release. As with all of the books by both authors, this book is HOT!  But the underlying story is filled with drama, hurtful pasts, and a sense of family that is undeniable.  This isn't just a story about falling in love, its a story about growing up, finding yourself, and finding your place within that awesome family.  Through copious tears, and the occasional fit of laughter, Jamie and Ivy find each other, resolve some deep dark issues, and find what is truly important in life. Jamie is a man who, like most of the other Compton men, left home to find his place in the world, to figure out who he was outside of Compton Pass.  He finds something that makes him happy, makes him feel useful.  Ivy is a woman with a traumatic past, that she hasn't quite healed from.  She's living her life, moving forward, but still doesn't seem to be whole. I love Jamie's determination, and confidence in how perfect he and Ivy are for each other.  He treats her like she is a treasure, while still staying true to who they both really are inside.  I love his sense of humor, and how they can laugh together, even during serious situations. I can't help but feel empathy for Ivy and how her past affects her.  More than once, while reading, I found myself tearing up, because of how raw her feelings are. This is a beautiful story, an amazing addition to the Compass world.  I can't wait to see what this duo has in store for the next book in the series!
