    Irena,s children

The more you read about the Holocaust survivors the better understanding you have of bravery and sacrifices made by individuals and resistance groups who never gave up and thought little of their own lives.History is fascinating and it barely scratches the surface of man,s inhumanity to man.We can never forget as genocides are all around us, as well as the destruction of the earth for power and greed.

    Simple but effective!

Very sad but emotional account during these brutal times. The story follows Irene during the 30th and war years of the German brutal occupation of Warsaw. It is very hard to understand the German brutal idea to eliminate the Jewish population. You admire the tremendous commitment and devotion that Irena gives.

    You never stop learning

So much of the world did not know the real story, yet we should. Well written book that pictured the horror, passion to live , passion to truly help at risk of death and courage to live on if not for themselves but for others.

    Irenas children

Very gripping story. Hard to think that humans can actually dehumanize other humans and murder in cold blood. I guess its understandable for the survivors to talk about the horrors because there doesn't seem to be woreds to describe what they saw. Great read
