    Robinson's Island 731

Just finished this book. Once again Robinson has put forth a very entertaining novel. I have no problem recommending this one.

    Island 731

Lots of action and nail biting stress. Haven't read a book so fast in years.

    Wildly imaginative but too fantastical.

Extremely exciting and imaginative but it became a little too "out there" for me. Environmentalists on a research ship studying the Pacific Garbage Patch are hit by large storm that pushes them to an unknown island where very strange things are happening. Reminded me of The Island of Dr. Moreau but scarier. The book turned into more of a scifi/fantasy/horror story than the adventure/thriller I was hoping/expecting it to be. The "creatures" (created by evil scientists) were too strange to wrap my brain around. The ending was not satisfying to me. Copyright 2013.

Interesting in summary, not in detail

I thought that the summary sounded interesting but after reading the book I wondered why I bothered -- I found all of the characters unbelievable, the story line formula driven and little details poorly researched. The summary is better written than the book!

    Loved this book!

So many great twists and turns. I am keeping my fingers crossed that there may be a sequel to this book at home point!
