A little history, a bit of mystery and the magic

A little history, a bit of mystery and the magic of mistletoe. This delightful story ties together the past and the present in a big bow of heartfelt Christmas spirit and joy of the season. The imagery of the author’s writing is breathtaking! Her perfectly crafted story created such a crisp mental image of visual pageantry that I felt like I was time traveling. It Must’ve Been the Mistletoe has all the elements of the best Hallmark movies. The movie will forever live in my heart and evoke all of the best feelings of Christmas!

    different Christmas story

Christmas love story from Adeline and Wiliam. It is a bit unusual love story because there is some kind of time traveling and then remembering the past. I am not in history love stories they are not my cup of tea, and almost whole story happens in the past. Toward the end, it all comes back in present. Adelin and William are ok characters but is hard to really get to know them because we see them in two completely different environment-time, past and the present. Overnight can we say that William suddenly changes from overachiever into a guy that wants a commitment and family. Adeline stays more or the less the same she is funny and had in the past funny moments. When she comes back in to present although knowing that William is the same has difficulty to accept him. Interesting, different Christmas story. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

The Magic of Love and Mistletoe!

This book was so unique. Sweet contemporary, historical, with a healthy dose of Christmas magic thrown in. Adeline has never been lucky in love so she focuses on being an awesome high school history teacher and helping her best friend get married. When an unbelievably realistic dream transports her back to the 1800s and has her meeting the love of her life, she starts to change her mind about love being for her. Adeline and William fall for each other in the 1800s but when the present shows up again, they have to find their way back to each other. I read a lot of holiday stories around Christmastime and this one is so unlike anything I have ever read. I'm not a huge fan of historical romance but the periods of the book that took place in the past were so interesting and made me think that I might have to revisit my stance on not reading historicals. This book has me believing in the powerful magic of love and mistletoe. I am really in the mood for all things Christmas after reading this book! *This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*

One of the best Christmas stories I've read

This is a Christmas story, but more so, it is probably the most unique spin I've ever read on a second chance romance.  Both Adeline and William are convinced love is not for them.  He lives in California, but is moving back to the east coast to take over his family's business.  She is a high school history teacher in his home town.  She is also the best friend of his brother's fiancé.  With the wedding looming, Adeline has a dream where she slips into the past, as one of her ancestors.  This story is a very sweet love story, and the interesting spin the author puts on the book kept me hooked.  Will is so amazing with Adeline, throughout the book, despite his misgivings prior to meeting her.  Adeline's enthusiasm for all things historical and Christmas is inspiring, and had me smiling.  Their love at first sight was truly beautiful to see.  There is so much to recommend this book, that it would take forever to go through it all, but it really is one of the best Christmas stories I've read in a while.  I totally enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone.
