    It's Not Over

I usually smart not to thrilled with so many flashbacks in a story. This file kept me emotionally involved with the people. A must read, I think.

This was a really good read. I was stuck to my kindle wanting to know what Daniel was hiding. You definitely know he’s trouble and he’s in trouble but not sure from what. I really love the supporting characters and can’t want for Stone and Murielle’s book.

    Awesome suspenseful second chance romance

A wonderfully well written contemporary romance that is also a second chance romance with passion, beautiful friendship & love. I was a little confused at first and struggled, you think a new writer yuk. But WAIT get past the first chapter and you will be so sucked in you will not believe your addiction turning page after page. It is so worth it, my only dissapointment was their weren't other book by this author to read. I was on the edge of my seat hooked not stopping till every page was turned. It had humor, it was suspenseful, mysterious, heartbreaking, sweet and angsty. It starts in the present 8 years into their relationship but jumps back and forth between present and past showing how Daniel and Vivian fell in love. Daniel can be withdrawn and cold but he also protective, sweet, loyal, smart, and sexy. Vivian strong, independent, sweet, caring, down to earth and a fighter with a bit of sass. It is told from Vivian and Daniel's POVs and is about fighting for the ones you love harder than you fight for yourself. The story has a bit of a mob vibe included that was intriguing and showed tension as a threat circles closer and closer making it only a matter of time before Daniel's past finds him but he couldn’t deny his deep consuming love for Vivian. When his past catches upto him he feels the only way to protect Vivian is he must end their relationship in a final and brutal way to ensure that she moves on and never wants to see him again. Vivian however is not about to go quietly and is willing to fight for her man pulling herself into danger trying to investigate his past that is full of danger, secrets, and mystery. A absolute must read. A definite favorite. I voluntarily reviewed this standalone ARC but hope that maybe more will come on the wonderful secondary characters. I highly recommend.

    Amazing!

Wow! I’m not even sure what trope this falls into except amazing! When Vivian arrives home to the apartment she shares with Daniel, everything in her world is perfect. But suddenly time has caught up with him and he makes a decision that wrecks her heart and tosses her into an abyss of despair. Daniel is involved with some things that could have devastating consequences if he doesn’t do right with the two women in his life. A man of loyalty, he puts his own life on the line and continues forward despite the pain and agony in his heart. This is written with some flashbacks that showcase how this couple initially met and the progression of Daniel’s journey to winning Vivian for himself. I loved how she was adamant to resist him in spite of the desire he aroused in her. When he finally yields, it was the most perfectly beautiful thing. Both of these characters are fully developed and I felt every bit of anguish, passion and joy they experienced. The story unfolds slowly as we are given tidbits of what is really going on with Daniel and how that effects his relationships. For a man who struggles to admit to love, everything he does expresses that in multitude making me love him all the more. It’s Not Over is a bit lengthy but I never skimmed or grew bored. Once I started I didn’t want to stop. I needed to learn what was happening and how this couple would find their happy ever after. While this does not have a lot of steamy scenes, when this couple are together their chemistry is off the charts. Their humor together, especially in the flashbacks, were a perfect counterpoint to the angst felt throughout the story. Overall, I found this to be a extremely well written book with characters I grew attached to, a story that had plenty of drama, danger and passion, and the setup for the next book of which I definitely want to read.
