Perfect Romance story to Make You GRIN

There are many reasons to pick up a book. I want to travel in a world where everyone ends up where they need to be and are happy. I don't need heavy drama or angst. I need an escape. It doesn't need to be anywhere I've been or situations I've been through. But Daniel and Avery - their story was genuine. Melanie Moreland had me 'feel' them. It was watching the two most favorite people in the world fall in love and deserve that happiness. Do I believe in insta-love? Why yes I do. I mean I'm a real life example. My husband proposed 6 days after our first date. What is important for me to convey is that I BELIEVED in Daniel and Avery's story. Melanie Moreland gives you characters that are just as taken aback from their connection. And they just can't control this need to finally be with their other half. It's not all sex or contrived situations. They stumbled and make a few miscues. But in the end, Ms Moreland gives you a story that makes you feel good about love and happily ever after. And the epilogue...Holy hell of all epilogues. I mean its like a bonus book! You get their future. How it all works out - every readers dream when you turn the last page of the final chapter. If you are a fan of Melanie's other stories, this is a step out of the box. It's butterflies and rainbows. It's meant for you to be grinning ear to ear. Not a previous reader but need a guarantee feel good? This story is a great start to the Ms Moreland's storytelling genius. This is definitely a 5+ star book for me. I'll be picking it up when I need to just feel love.

How would you react to kissing a total stranger?

    > > Judging a Book by it's Cover < < This is one of those books that I would have most likely skimmed right over. Although the cover is not bad, the background and model attire all blend to an almost blank canvas to me with only his hair and tattoo standing out. What does catch the eye is the red font of the title. Even that is nearly not enough, but I did pause long enough to read the synopsis and that... that is what sold me on the book. > > Looking Deeper < < POV: Alternating first-person POVs, clearly marked and easy to follow. How would you react to kissing a complete stranger? Daniel is a veterinarian that lost a bet with his sister, thus having to sign up for a social experiment. He makes a fairy tale perfect boyfriend. Avery is best friends with Beth, the producer of this social experiment. When one of the volunteers becomes a no-go at the last minute, Beth begs Avery to step in for her. Avery is shy, but a generous soul and agrees, so as not to leave her best friend in a lurch. Their chemistry was puzzle-pieces clicking and soul-matching at first touch. I rarely read anything so ooey-gooey, cheesy nor straight-forward yet sweet. Both of them just said exactly what they were thinking or feeling, no room of misunderstandings or misinterpretations there! Other than Beth, there were a few other secondary characters, such as Daniel's sister and brother-in-law. Dialogue and cast interaction was good and enjoyable. For the first half of the book, the plot was all sunshine and tweetie-bird perfection, however the reader was finally treated to a few minor hiccups, a rogue deer, and other real world problems that lent the plot some dynamics. Ms. Moreland's writing is smooth and I enjoyed the many times a character thought they were internalizing, but spoke aloud. Fun Stuff! I think the only complaint I had was the fact that once they stepped into the sexual relationship phase, that's practically all we got from them anymore. Predictability was low. The conclusion was unique, solid and satisfying; including several hops forward, spanning over 20 years. Overall, this was an enjoyable story. Well-written with very likable characters. I'd recommend this to those that like small town and sexy contemporary novels. . Sweet Story!!!!

It Started with a Kiss was the first book that I have read from Melanie Moreland. It was an enjoyable read and I certainly look forward to reading her other books. To say this story starts off with just "a kiss" is an understatement. Is there such thing as love at first kiss???....well maybe in this case it was for Avery and Daniel. Their whole world changed in a matter of seconds.....seconds to hopefully last a lifetime. Their attraction was instant and explosive and their romantic adventure started off with a bang. You got a lot of this going on, "What is it about you and walls? I feel like an Avery filling in a Daniel and wall sandwich these days." Yes, hot and steamy!!! I enjoyed the story as it was a light hearted, cute read that put a smile on my face. It was a romantic, funny comedy at times that made you literally laugh out loud. It is nice sometimes to get lost in a world of happy bliss and Daniel and Avery certainly displayed this over time. It was also a welcome change to see there were no hidden agendas but there were definitely some exciting times between these two.....they took kissing to a whole new level. I particularly enjoyed the 'give me three" analysis which you will understand when you read the book. It is something we should all do in our lives. This warm and fuzzy read continued throughout right up until the epilogue that will tug at your heart. It was refreshing to see how Daniel and Avery's journey unfolded and all because "it started with a kiss" in a different type of scenario.
