    Jack in the green

80 some pages for 4.99 what a rip off. Could hardly call this a novel. Will not be buying any more books by DIANE CAPRI

    Five Stars

Agents Gaspar and Otto really come into their own in this latest masterpiece from Capri. I love that this Hunt for Jack Reacher book brings the action back to Tampa, where the other Capri books take place (Due Justice, Fatal Distraction, etc.). I highly recommend Jack in the Green- I was hooked from the beginning!

    Jonesing for the ongoing Hunt

As I prepare to embark on a Lee Child (Jack Reacher) marathon, I thought I would check in on Capri's latest Hunt for Reacher novella. Picking up from the previous adventure, Gaspar and Otto are still trying to piece together tidbits to make a profile of the elusive Jack Reacher, part of their covert mission. At a memorial service in Tampa, the Special Agents seek to touch base with a retired officer whose family were slain seventeen years earlier. The Reacher connection; he arrested the officer for the crime, though had to cut him loose when civilian officials could not make a case. Surely a vendetta Reacher held for all these years, Gaspar and Otto try to coax out anything they can about Reacher and if he might be lurking around, ready to seek revenge. After a string of shots disturb the memorial, it's a race to the hospital for any tidbit of information surrounding Reacher and if he might be behind this shooting. There, the Special Agents learn that Reacher's been seen around the area in the not too distant past. Could this be the break they have been looking for? Might Reacher have been planning to kill the man who slipped through his fingers before? A great lead-up to whet my appetite for a Reacher marathon, sure to finally offer some great insight into this character about whom I have read so much. I pledged to read the Child series even before I knew about Diane Capri and her collection of novels and novella about the subject. Keen to see both sides of the story, I thought it best to see Capri's take from the FBI perspective. With great characters and the ever-evolving race to find Reacher, Capri captures the essence of this character and his 'two steps ahead of the law' mentality. I am always eager to delve deeper when I finish a Capri book, and this one was no exception. Kudos, Madam Capri for this wonderful novella. Bring on Reacher and all he has to offer!

    Brief

Good story until the too quick finish and wrap up. I wish that had been stretched a bit and a little more clarity added.
