4 Star Review Join The Club (Swat Next Generation 2.0 #7) by Lani Lynn Vale  I knew this book would be complicated, but I had no idea how much. After Booth and Dillan's happily ever after I was intrigued as to what Lani Lynn Vale had in store for Bourne Pena and Delanie Davidsdottir. For what seems like forever Bourne and Delanie have had feelings for one another but due to circumstances have ignored them. When the attraction becomes too much to ignore, they decide to have a night of passion and let that be the end of it. If only things went to plan! The relationships between the identical twin brothers and sisters was complicated and their story overlaps with Booth and Dillan’s story which was told in Jokes on You which I would recommend you read before reading Join The Club. This was a suspenseful, drama filled journey that Lani Lynn Vale lead us on. The second epilogue gave us a glance into the future and rounded out the story for me.

  • Scorching! Shocking! Amazing!

I just knew this book was going to be explosive! And I was right! Shocking surprises on each page. Scorching heat! And underneath it all, an undeniable sense of family and loyalty! Everything that makes a LLV story so amazing, wrapped up in one exciting story! Definitely a must read! Bourne has always put others above himself. That's just what family does. You look out for those that you care about, take care of them. He was raised with that foundation of love and family, and it shows in everything he does. But what happens when he decides that he has to look out for himself too? That he deserves happiness? Fireworks! That's what happens! Delanie has worked hard to make her life something she can be proud of, while also raising her little boy. One night changed the course of her life. Now she feels like she will never be able to have the one that she wants. But things are never really what they seem to be in Delanie's world! This book was great! I'm not surprised that Bourne and Delanie's story was tied so tightly to Booth and Dillan's. All of the unanswered questions from Joke's On You, were answered in this story. But the there were still some things that I never saw coming, surprises that the author pulled out at the last minute! I definitely think everyone should read this book, as well as the rest of the series, because it showcases this author's exciting writing, as well as her crazy sense of humor!

  • Tricky Triangle!

I absolutely adore this series and the other KPD series. They are hot, addictive and have alpha males in all of them. These are the reasons why I didn't think twice to read this installment. This is the Bourne/Booth and Delanie/Dillon love triangle plus one. Bourne and Booth are brothers and Delanie and Dillon are sisters. It's slightly tricky since one brother knocked up Delanie but is in love with her sister. I was ready to indulge in this part two book to see how it all plays how but I felt distracted by the messy relationship too much to enjoy the love story and scenes. It definitely won't discourage me from reading any further books but was just a little sad that I couldn't immerse myself into Booth's story. Still it was a good addition to the series.

  • Review: SWAT Generation 2.0 #7: Join The Club

Join the Club by Lani Lynn Vale is the seventh book in her SWAT Generation 2.0 series. The story of the other twins, Bourne and Delanie. I have been eagerly awaiting their story, wondering how their feelings and their siblings relationship would weave into a happy ever after for them and I was NOT disappointed. ***Some Spoilers Ahead for Previous Books In Series*** **You have been warned** So we had learned that Delanie was drugged by her "supposed" friend the night of the party that changed four lives irrevocably. Booth was also drugged. Booth and Delanie hooked up that night in their roofied state, the only explanation being that they were both so out of it they each thought they were with the other twin they liked. Booth liked Dillan and Delanie liked Bourne but that isn't how the night panned out. Delanie became pregnant with Booth's child and Bourne, who couldn't join the military right away with his brother due to an injury, ended up staying home and helping Delanie with his nephew. Years of emotion tucked away because of the mistake of one night. But now that Booth is out and with Dillan, there isn't much left holding Bourne and Delanie back from each other. Sure, they worry what people will think - what confusion this might cause for Asa (their child), but through playful and inventive storytelling, some family drama with Delanie and Dillan's terrible father and the love of Booth & Bourne's family, they get their happily ever after in the most wholesome, inclusive and loving way possible. Absolutely loved it! The world of Lani Lynn Vale is extremely interconnected and can be a little intimidating when you first start but as you read deeper into the books and series you start to remember these characters and their family connections and the interconnectivity and repeat appearances from old friends makes this author one of my MUST READ and ALWAYS PURCHASE authors. Enjoy!
